Bleh, triple post... shows how much I am loved... My god what is this? an actual update? with pictures? I do believe so ;D After spending a solid few hours painting, I give you a brand new Syrabite I am rather proud of the skin, it actually looks real as opposed to the dodgy job I did on me first skin attempt... Today's grand painting session has left me with this: Yes, I did some work on another Thousand son. Here is a comparison with my first one. (sorry about the shaky picture ) As you can see (hopefully) he is a fair bit lighter Any comments? Anything I can improve on? Giving feedback is good for your soul, so do it

He's looking good! The only suggestion that I have would be to perhaps go back in with a fine detail brush and the original armor color and thin down the lines on the highlights a bit...

I wish my skin came out looking half that good, I'm just never satisfied with the way it turns out...

I wish my skin came out looking half that good, I'm just never satisfied with the way it turns out... Mine was relatively simple... Dwarf flesh, ogryn flesh wash, highlight raised areas with dwarf flesh, then elven flesh on the extreme edges like ears and eyebrows Trooper: if they aren't that thick, you can't see them from more than a metre away Thanks guys, more to come soon

Gasp, another update... this one has pictures too! ;D Check this out... Much better in comparison to the original skin attempt... Last picture for now, pair of syrabites... I have comparisons between my first squad and their counterparts in the one I am working on now, if you want them. Bleh, I just noticed the blu-tack I was using to hold the new syrabite came loose... oh well, it gets the point across, no?

Hmmm... I kind of like your original skin attempt better. DE are supposed to be all pale and unhealthy looking; your new skin looks great for a human that's been out in the sun, but doesn't strike me as DE. Mind you, I think it looks really good, but just not fitting for the DE...

Well, if you are in the out in the sun constantly during a realspace raid, I'm pretty sure your skin is going to darken up... Unless you are an albino plus, I don't like the pasty look... And I can't actually do it anyway ;D

Rise, my precious *malicious laughter sounds in the background* Dark Eldar are going on hold for now, unless I feel like painting them. I decided to give black armour another try, came out with this: This is the first time I have tried the gem effect Cosmic gifted me with on the last page... C&C?
