Who knew adeptus arbites were such bad asses? Kasrkin even currently are nuts in comparison.

@ Redemptionists 'not consistent with established background' This looks great: 2 codexes in one - a brilliant thing indeed

Melissia is going to be very 'excited' with this new codex i think.
What does this sacred relic do (battle standard like re-rolls for leadership)?
What do the special rules for battle sisters do?
Another question i have is are the shock mauls for everybody or just the proctor? I suppose we'll have to see the models and the finalized codex to find out but it looks like everybody will have them.
Finally what do these undescribed weapons do?
Some of this sounds fun though like the riot gun even if it's basically about as good as a guardsmen shooting while given 'first rank fire, 2nd rank fire'. The shield with the +3 armor save and +5 inv. save also sounds fun though. However i don't know as battle sisters have +3 all the time. Arbites do sound like good melee combatants though and i'm happy we finally get to have them. They totally need a plastic set as i don't think stormtroopers can represent them. Hmm maybe they will make a stormtrooper/arbites combo pack (you get to make arbites or stormtroopers). Of course i'm thinking arbites seem a bit cooler.

@ Redemptionists 'not consistent with established background' Redemptionists are an extremist cult. I remember they were in Necromunda. They basically run around mouthing off about how everyone is doomed and must repent, either setting fire to them before or after this. However, this entry is meant to represent the sort of massed angry mob that you would see cropping up around cardinals and stuff during hostilities. Calling them redemptionists confuses the issue.

Also, the music is just a constant loop of the prodigy song 'Firestarter'. At midnight they set fire to the house. The party usually wraps up at around 7am.

Ah! I see now. They are confusing mobs of religious zealots who like to kill things and burn people on crosses with a different set of people on Necromunda, in red robes, who like to kill things and burn people on crosses..

When my gang leader melta'ed my friend's favorite ganger (he had started out as a just a juve and experienced his way up to being quite a combat monster), and he died from his wounds in the end of the game record keeping phase. ShhhhhhhfffffffffffffffFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFPOP! ;D

They have flamers attatched to everything. So these mobs will be renamed zealot mobs, but what do you reckon? Same points cost as guardsmen? They'll be harder in cc, infiltrate and have good leadership with a preacher. Edit : better name for the 'battle garb' : heavy robe (copyrighted)

ShhhhhhhfffffffffffffffFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFPOP! ;D Flamers on a chainsaw. That's awesome. The only better thing would be flames going through sharp chainsaw blades while electricity runs through it. I was honestly thinking the redemptionists sucked. Their stat line rivals that of a conscript. I don't even know if stub pistols are upgrades. They don't show the loadout. Basically what this unit is is a meat shield that holds an enemy at bay for a little while or just takes hits for the enemy. I imagine the fluff of these guys is to appear out of nowhere and then just clog up the field with their bodies. I doubt they're even as good as kroot. Redemptionists seem to work with infiltrate and possibly furious charge. I find it odd it says they're brave. Ld 6 without a leader is brave? If they're brave they should have stubborn. Of course that sounds like a lot for what is basically a huge nutsty mob of guys. These guys are basically conscripts with options. Still waiting to hear what wargear and weapon options they have. So far mostly unimpressed. They fill the surprise meat shield punching bag role well.

Brave to stand up to the galaxy andfight with scavenged weapons. The IG and SMs have their faith and training and utter discipline after all. What do these guys have.
I'd say they can be Ld6 and still be said to be brave.

I like how adeptus arbites are basically the 40k SWAT teams. Dude i'd totally watch the 40k version of that show. Busting down xenos, heretics, drug-dealers, pirates and other scum. Watching people act like dumb asses while getting arrested and probably pending an execution, heretic pyre or beating.
Undisciplined and prone to lack of coordination. If they didn't blend in with civilians they'd die in droves and considering well disciplined troops always win out over nutsty armed normal people they'll still die in droves. The only bonus they have is they look like civilians. However if this was fluff then orks, csm, nids and many other races would probably just kill them anyway. I don't see how you can sneak around in many cases unless you're fighting imperials, chaos marines or a couple other races. Mostly i just think against nids and orks they'd do poorly but they're already disorganized as it is so the nids couldn't screw that up any worse probably.

They may seem a bit sucky FKM, but then we find out they are 3-4pts each or something and they look a lot better. If they charge into a power blob they would slaughter it. Furious charge and infiltrate? I would love to be able to infiltrate a troops choice (just guessing they are troops).

Actually, I don't like the idea of them being able to infiltrate, as Redmeptionists are generally unhinged, crazed, and probably not prone to moving stealthily. Perhaps giving them scouts instead, to represent them rushing forward without restraint, kind of like how the Ogryn Auxilia platoon works in Apocalypse? I definitely agree with furious charge though...

I definitely agree with furious charge though... They mentioned they hide into the populace. My problem with that like i said though is orks, nids, necrons (please god don't fornicate up the fluff bad enough to change this Matt Ward) and some other races would just slaughter them anyway. I love how the adeptus arbites sound. 40k SWAT teams sound bad ass. Basically you park your sisters behind them and let your enemies assault them and have the enemies lose all bonus attacks for charging and get charging bonuses yourself. Still wouldn't stop a mob of boyz but it would stop gaunts i'm sure. Of course gaunts would be stupid against a heavy flamer army. Really i'm wondering a good spot for arbites even though they sound cool. They sound preferably melee based but i'm wondering if i'd ever add the shield or riot guns. Btw is there any more info on SoB units or fluff? So far unlike the new necron rumors i'm pretty impressed.
