It might not be the Redemptionists per sé, guys. I hate to stuff the fluff, so to speak, but those sound like any old Frateris Militia organisation. Of course, the Redemptionists are all Frateris Militia, but not all Frateris Militia are Redemptionists. Commonly known as the Crusade of the Red Redemption, by the way.
Also, I'd like to add that a friend of mine would be sad. He likes the exclusivity of his sisters, so he'd be sad if they were remade.

wow, that link sounds very impressive.
Another question, one of the main favorites of the current codex is the allies rule... Do you think this will also go the same way as it did with GK?...
It would be a sad day.

Yeah, last I heard, Cruddace was the one tapped to write it. As I understand it, Necrons and Sisters were next on the scheduale. Ward would write one, and Cruddace the others, and Ward got the Toasters.
I'd be willing to put money on Allies being gone from the SoB codex, although since SoB's haven't adopted the new "kill everyone in visual range" tactic of the GK, who knows? We may be pleasantly surprised.

Hey guys, I heard from multiple people in my gaming group today, one of whom is a mod on 40K Online, that this stuff is actually a hoax...

clarification: Is all the above info a hoax? -The piece about the prototype model? -Scheduled date?

Well I usually am of the mind that most of the net rumors are a hoax but who knows? At least it gives us something to talk about until the codex comes out.
Maybe it being a hoax is a hoax? Or a reverse double hoax with anti-rumour shielding, covered in cheese that causes inverted hiccups?

I find it funny how melissia is known across like every 40k board ever. It's just ridiculous. She's one of the most well known female players of 40k on forums. Trooper One-Nine-Seven-Four: I heard the same bullnuts about the leaked pictures of the dreadknight and grey knight army. It still came out and was completely true.

According to my friends, it's the "leaked" codex pages that are the hoax. Sorry, should have been more clear in my first post about stuff being a hoax, but I was exhausted after 40K and driving 90 something odd miles back and forth yesterday...

Well they all unanimously reacted "it's a hoax" when I brought the subject up. My mod friend from 40K Online said that the pages first started appearing on April 1st, or thereabouts, which has everyone thinking that they are some sort of April Fool's prank, or something done similarly to what was done with the fake Blood Angels' pdf that was released...
Anyway, take with a huge grain of salt.

What does this sacred relic do (battle standard like re-rolls for leadership)? I suspect it will work similarly to the 4th ed Space Marine Item, The Holy Relic, Ergo you may reveal it during any point of the game and all friendly models within 2D6" gain +1 atk. Shame it was lost in the new codex. I REALLY liked that item.

Whoa, wait, what? BEFORE Crons?! And are they making the codex free, or can they just not be arsed to print it, and are selling it as a PDF?

I would say it will be free as a PDF just like the Witch Hunters and Daemon Hunters became after a while, as well as being printed in White Dwarf.

A free PDF doesn't track real well with their current mindset. Hell, even Blood Angels got a real boy update, and they were slapped with a PDF in fourth. But why would they want to lose money on an army that is highly anticipated by a lot of players?

Not to mention the bar they set with DE. I think people are looking forward to good-looking plastic sisters even more than a codex update.

It could be seen as fitting in with the "new race" rumours that have been flying around for a while, downgrade sisters to PDFdex and allow for the Grey Knights to fill the 'inquisition' quota. Stop producing metal models, phase out sisters completely for 6th and introduce the 'new race' at the same time (starter set style).
Upsetting people has never really bothered GW and the cost of producing the plastic moulds for any new sisters models would seem silly considering the percentage of players who actually play them. cost vs. benefit ratio would be slipping even then, let alone adding the production of a real life codex to the bargain.
Non of this is to be taken as anything other than conspiracy theorism but it most certainly would be possible. Sisters are an interesting but underplayed army with a large theoretical fan base and a small consumer one. Just my tuppence

The same could have been said of Grey Knights or Dark Eldar, to be honest. They got new books and plastics, though. I'd be very surprised if that little tidbit is true, to be honest. Everything I've heard points to Crons next, and I can't fathom any reason behind a PDF codex for a newly revamped army. Reds
