We've been over this in many a thread. Comparing modern weapons to 40k stuff is silly, since we can't know what armour composites are used in 40k, and how strong they are. That said, a Baneblade, by pure size, might be able to simply run over a Challenger.
Also, I now need to make a model wearing a beret and holding a tea cup. I wonder where my green stuff is.

I think berets are standard non-combat uniform head gear for the U.S. Army now as well, and not just for the Special Forces...

Speaking as a tanker, IMHO Rolling Thunder is referencing the Sherman, nicknamed the Zippo because they light on the first strike. or even the Tiger 1 tank for that matter. Ever wonder why armour plate is slanted and not flat? Answer, slanted armour provides better protection for less weight. Look at the following picture: By putting the plate on a 45 degree angle, you increase the stopping power. Here is the math explanation. Let T_1 be the thickness of German tank. D_1 be the distance of bullet piercing if it has to get through. Let T_2 be the thickness of Russian tank. D_2 be the distance of bullet if it has to pierce Russian tank. D_1 = D_2 . With that {D_2}^2 > {T_2}^2 . Assuming positive roots, we have D_2 > T_2 . Now since T_1 = D_1 . Plugging this, T_1 > T_2 . So even for a lesser thickness, Russians managed provide better armour and agility. More the slant, lesser the thickness of metal and distance traveled by the bullet will be more. By slanting the armour you also increase the chance of the round glancing off the armour instead of penetrating. Who knew Pythagorean Theorem could be used to win a war. For more info look at this math site: guruparan18.wordpress.com/2010/01/27/a-good-design-can-win-you-a-world-war/

The British army knew about slanted armour but they dismissed it as they "knew" that there is very little chance of a round hitting the armour dead on 90 degrees on a battlefield.
But then the British army was still being run by old cavalry types who were still sulking at losing their horses.

*Wanders in... slaps anyone who is arguing about slanted armour (or real world physics in 40k or other arguements that have been gone over FAR TOO MANY TIMES) with a haddock. Wanders out again...*

Slanted armour is the reason all guard tanks have better front armour than side or rear. True story. >.>

Does this work better for you RT? Looks good, except for the extra, superfluos muzzlebreak. Remove it or cover it so that it doesn't look like two barrels glued together end-on-end.
