First off, an overall view of all my painted stuff so far. Uploaded with ImageShack.usHere's the good ol' cannon fodder infantry. Uploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.usGot my scout sentinels here, one of my favorite models and the first things I really ever painted. Uploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.usAnd my trusty Hellhound: Uploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.usThe Demolisher! Uploaded with ImageShack.usFor some reason it kept rotating this pic... Uploaded with ImageShack.usUploaded with ImageShack.usannnnd yeah! So there's all of my painted models so far. On the flip side they could just blend in to the grunts, in that case I give your anti-sniper tactics a thumbs up. *vassili zaitsev turns in his grave*

Haha, suck that snipers! No officers yet, i've been practicing my painting on the grunts first. Doing a batch of sgts, voxmen, and special weapons now

I see you are also a red vs blue fan. Whats your favorite season.
Also very nice, I like your style of painting.

Thanks man! This is a wip of my army, but i just really wanted to see what people thought, thus i finally took some pics.
And my favorite rvb season? Hmm, i feel like some of the memorable stuff is from the first 2, but i feel the voice acting just got so much better in the later ones. I'd have to go with season 3 as my all time favorite though

If the board had an option to favorite posts, i would fav this one just cuz of the RvB. Oh and the painting was very nice also.

You've got some really good detail on the grunts! Particularly the faces.
I must say though, I'm intrigued by your choice of heavy flamers on the armoured sentinels - wouldn't they be better on the scout sentinels?

Thank you, Lupus! I try to get the detail good on my grunts so that by the time i make it to my favorites i'll be a much better painter.
As far as the sentinels go, i've seen the scouts get glanced to death by bolters and fleshborers all too often. I'm hoping with the heavy flamers they'll take the punishment from the small arms and just wade on into the infantry. Roast em' good.

Fair enough - just seems common practice to bring the flamers on from reserve from the side of the table and intercept infantry. But I certainly approve of you avoiding the "common" tactic. Personalisation doesn't just come from painting and fluff

Great minis Wraelis. Ah Sentinels, how I love them. Never played a game in my life with Guard so I have no clue how effective they can be, I just like building and painting them Are you going to give them all squad marking? Or any other such small details?

Thanks Lupus! I definitely like the idea of a playstyle unique to me.
As for squad markings, i definitely wanna do some on the sentinels later

Really dark colours,,, guessing the backstory involves some sort of night fighting specialty? (p.s. if you hate my comments you can yell at me, I am new at the IG) Looks pretty sweet though

Your sentinels' paintjob is almost exactly like mine. I love fenris grey.

I like how the blue works its way in and out of the scheme. Not too dominant.

I'll be uploading a bunch more stuff soon. I've spent a lot of time this summer painting more in the late hours of the night and just an hour here and there. Coming next: Chimera, Officers, Veterans, Special Weapons, Vox troopers, and sergeants!

Good weathering on the vehicles and the guard themselves look pretty mean.

Seconded. That's some great weathering there I like youre scheme, and I also like (I can't beleive Im saying this...!) YOUR UNPAINTED BASES !!! They contrast nicely against your dark scheme, wheras usually I think they look lazy and unfinished Keep fighting the good fight dude!

Very nice. I was actually going to paint my drop troop vets in a dark blue gray/black scheme. Its good to know it would turn out well if I chose to go that route.
