If you pre-order from Game Stop you get Space Wolf and Black Templar skins for your character. Conveniently enough, that's where I get my games from so I will have to pay them a visit... Sadly, the game won't be out until early September, however that will give me time to finish my current semester of studies without distraction.

I pre-ordered the collector edition a few days ago, looking forward to it. Also there will be a companion XBLA Kill Team game that will unlock a power sword on the main game. The XBLA game will be a twin stick shooter in which you can choose several SMurf classes. No love for the other factions though.. damn SMurfs hugging all the glory while CONVENIENTLY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GALAXY

The big mall location, that is, not the one in the strip mall where Tower Records used to be...

Hi.. I've been watching this game develop for ages.. It looks awesome... but I cannot for the life of me find out what spec is needed to run the curse'd thing!...
As I can't run DoWII yet, I imagine this won't work (especialy with all the blood goo n stuff).. but it'd be nice to know what spec I'd need to upgrade to!!
I note this is a different game to the 40k Dark Millenium game which also looks very cool... again, no idea of spec... maybe they don't tell you untill they've fully tested etc.. I dunno.. but it stops me from pre-ordering thats for sure!

Well I'm pre ordering it to my 360 since my lap probably doesn't run anything that came out after 2008, if I had to point one advantage of consoles over pc gaming that would be it, no worrying about specs. Of course the reverse of that point is that given funds a pc rig will always be superior to console. Also while I don't care about FPS, I love RTS and while FPS can be decently played on consoles, RTS are a MAJOR pain without keyboard shortcuts and mouse cursor. Also, how silly can people be? (that's rethorical, don't answer ) On the Q&A thread on the official game forum, you find all sorts of inane questions and no one bothered to ask about the pc reqs.

emptyhat: Their Used Game gimmick. They take a game that's used give the seller a fraction of it's price (often in store credit to make sure the cash stays in their pocket), then turn around and market it close to the price of a new game. This shafts the people who made the game, since they don't have to give them a cut from the resell, and leaves Gamestop to pocket the profit while giving the finger to the developers. I've got a couple other gripes against them, but that's the main reason I use Steam or Impulse for most of my game purchases instead (That, and it's much more convenient to buy from them). Reds

I think I have run into that when trying to trade a game long ago. I think my response was "you what" and keeping my game: Into the Friday Add such things can go.
But yeah, even if you just don't play ball with them it can be annoying to see them act like they can do that.

Makes a nice track of old games i have though.

See if they're willing to sell your dignity back to you when you get there. @fkm: Agreed, I either keep my games or I give them to friends if I don't want them anymore. It cuts down on my stack of disks and helps introduce new players to the developer and the game series. Reds

Reds I like used games, it lets me buy stuff i wouldn't risk a Full game price on. Though personallty I don't by a game I didn't save at least 10 dollars on usually more. but that just me I Pre-order through Game stop, but because i used their online shop i won't get it until a week after it out. But i got tired of dealing with the silly, Pick it up in two days or it is gone. I work at site i don't have time to stand in line for a hour to get a game I have already paid for.

That's not a gimmick, that's legitimate resale of goods. And perfectly legal, but that doesn't mean it's not thingyish. Hence why I choose to take my business elsewhere. How is it díckish? You might as well describe second-hand car sales as díckish. Or the entirety of Ebay.

Two ways. First, unless you're going to pre-order a new game, they try to push the used games instead of selling new ones. When the EB I used to go to became a Gamestop, I walked in a few months later and just about every PC game they had was used. It's actually part of their instructions to employees to try and pushed used games over new, since Gamestop banks pretty much all of the cash from that sale. They also aren't the best at checking whether or not the used stuff is still in a sell-able condition. For instance, the last time I bought a used game from them, I opened it when I got home and it was scratched all to hell, and wouldn't run. Also, Ebay is more often an individual attempting to sell a product for profit, not an entire company trying to rip off the developers of the product that makes their franchise possible. I can't do the Anti-Gamestop argument the justice it deserves, so check out the Zero Originality series of videos, they lay out a pretty comprehensive look at what Gamestop is doing. Here's the first episode. All that said, yes, it's a legitimate business practice, but since I like Valve and most of the developers who's games I buy, I choose to support them instead of what is more or less a video game bordello. @himura: That's another reason I like Steam. They periodically have sales (including a huge one last Christmas where I bought 6 games for $15, total), although you're going to have to wait a bit before a newly released game is discounted. That said, the same is true of being able to find a used copy for a good price. Reds

Im going to buy a ne one especially for this game! _______________________________ I saw screenshots of the game with a FEMALE imperial guard

If you're going for a game that's not a new release, they want you to buy a used copy if they have one. which is what I went in there for anyway. I'm not paying full retail for a game, when even the used price is more than what it's worth.
Nope, sorry game developers, but I'm not willing to support you until you stop trying to make graphics-porn rather than a game. You know... like Chrono Trigger or something. Plot + good interface + replayability. I'll even take an interactive movie like FF13 over something that insults my intelligence (but again, not at full price).
Now, give me something I like, and I'll pay as directly as possible to make sure you make your investment back on a good game.

Do you think that if games were not redistributable, via completely digital distribution, then the price of games would drop significanlty? I also agree with Requiem, many games use graphics to cover bland gameplay.
