I know this board is dedicated to the IG but I made this piece of Chaos terrain and thought hey the IG has to have something to attack and destroy the taint of chaos don't they?
Let me know what you think,
The inspiration for this entry came from a piece I found in the deep discount area of the local Hobby Lobby. It originally sold for $10, but as you can see I got this thing for only $.99.

I figured it would make a very good cauldron for a Chaos altar so I took these materials

I went online and found a ram's skull icon and made a template that I used to draw this:

I then used a hot wire cutter to make this:

I added a few columns from a wedding cake kit, some skulls I picked up from Michaels after last Halloween (about $.50 each), and some bits and bobs left over from GW stuff to get this:

I painted it all up and it came out looking like this:

Here are some other angles:

I painted the icon surface with gloss black and gloss red and gold to set them off from the rock hill. I deliberately made it rough looking to try and get the feel that this was an ancient site made long ago with limited tools. The fluff behind this evil site is that it is the polar opposite of the Shrine of Katrina von Lahr'rayne I did for the shrine contest a couple of months ago. While Katrina's shrine is the site of Imperial goodness on Ho'vas Secundus, the Pillars of Blood are the origination of Chaos taint that led to the conflict the nearly turned the planet into a Chaos world.
