I prefer to do my lifting 12 fluid ounces at a time...

Being able to lift half one's bodyweight over one's head is a good feeling.

If I punished my failures with exercise, I'd get a lot better at whatever I was doing, not better at exercising. Anything but that!
I'm down with taking a sip for every fallen guardsman, though.

I wouldn't take that bet in a 10k all infantry apoc game.
Going for a run soon; I've started slowing down, need to try to run faster or something.

I powerlift, so its key to keep an eye on body weight. I hate all kids of CV but love moving heavy weights much to the dislike of my pals, being only a bats bollock over 5ft Il out lift them(bench deadlift squat) ii dint stick to any routine otherwise your body gets used to it ie legs on Mondays and so on. Mix that nuts up. Anything can become mundane regardless how much you like it

Yeah; I've heard about the 'body getting used to the routine' thing but really, what can you do when you're overweight and can't afford to go to a gym?

The best way to loose weight is working with your body weight ie press ups pull ups planking cv. Not snacking is key, if you do make smart choices.dont mindlessly run,no one likes that pish, do gridders. You can deffo loose weight and get ripped to an extent without a gym. Fact

Push ups. Planks. Bodyweight squats.
Raise your feet for your push-ups once you can do 20 comfortably. Once you can do 30 of them comfortably, and can plank for 2 minutes, try a planche push up or a frog stand.
Sprint. Run 100 metres as fast as you can. Walk back. Do this five times; takes ten minutes, massively improves your fitness.
Once you can bodyweight squat 20 times, do jump squats.

While you snack and drink, walk up and down stairs.

I can do a full, wide-grip pullup. Currently squatting 115kg, PR was 125kg. Bench is still at 85kg, overhead is only at 50kg (took it down for a form fix), have taken up snatching. Can do a kilometre in five minutes, cross country, in combat boots.

One mile in combat boots, and I can snatch 37.5kg, which is not a colossal amount, but is such a manly lift that it has taken over my soul and most of my workouts. But, hey, it's incredibly useful and incredibly fun.
Cheers Rook! I hear good things about yoga. Excellent for flexibility and functional strength.

Haven't been active in ages and just been kind of lurking now and again to see what's up around here. That's awesome, Rook! Sounds like you're kicking ass! Yoga is actually pretty dang awesome. I've done it a couple times and it hit me in a very different way from normal exercises haha

Can I be excused of thread Necromancy? A little over 4 years I know...but hey it was on the second page.
Truth be told I need a place to record my progress as I get fit again.

I feel this doesn't violate the spirit of the no necromancy rule.
