Right hello Ladies and Gentlmen,
I downloaded and played the Space Marine demo yesterday, and I was pleasantly surprised that it actually worked on my computer, the graphics were fine, it was just a little slower than it was supposed to be, ever so slightly 'laggy'.
So after talking to my friend he recommended getting a new Graphics Card, as they are cheaper than buying an Xbox or something to play it on.
I'm currently using an nVidia GeForce 9100, and I can play most games, but on the lower settings. I was hoping for a little more 'umph' to play Space Marine and other games like Dawn of War, Batman: Arkham Asylum etc on the high end settings.
So my questions are these...
1) What would be best for me to get? 2) Are they easy to install? 3) Will they muck up the computer? (it is afterall a family computer and I'll get killed if I break it)
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Cosmic
EDIT:
The processor is an AMD Phenom Triple Core Processor if that's something you might need to know to help out.

You'll have to find out what type of motherbaord you've got and what the max graphics card it can take.

actually it might be cheaper to get an xbox, it's been a while since i've had a desktop but high end graphics cards used to be expensive. best thing to do would be find out what type of graphics card your mainboard supports and the max it will allow as woz said then find a graphics card that will meet both that and over the minimum needed to run the game. then check ebay for the cost of them.

Thanks for the input both of you, I have decided to go for the new Card though.
My friend put me onto one that was £70 and can play Crysis on full settings so I bought myself one. It's coming tomorrow morning so I'll keep you informed.
