completely agree on the skull.. unless his head was mutated into some deamon horse beast prior to it succumbing to time.
I haven't read his back story so maybe there's an explanation out there.

Maybe it was just a side effect of declaring allegiance to Horus.
"I like Horus." ---> Instant mutation ---> "Neigh!"
He is floating on tentacles, just like his ride, so this is a case of tentacles riding on tentacles, riding on tentacles.

Is the horse skull attached by tenticles? Also, isn't there a chaos god of gag gifts? I think s/he/it sent Leman Russ an inflatable sheep with a From: The Lion gift tag.

Hah!
In fact he just upgraded himself by applying tentacles to his lower half. The next phase will constitute replacing his upper half with tentacles.
At the end of the day he'll probably just end up being a horse skull head nesting on a mass of tentacles, sliding around on a slithery tentacle podium.

or maybe he had enough of the tentacle thing and is working from the top down, soon he will be a skeletal collection of lifeless horse bones.

So, one day he was in the bathroom, looking in the mirror, and then decided that tentacles weren't his thing? I'm not buying that ....

So who needs guns? The AdMech have metallic probes...
Actually the new Mechanicus models are divinely detailed. Makes me want to get into 30k. They've done nothing for the Imperial Army yet so I'm holding out for that.

I have to admit, I totally read "...layered techno-cant wardings and interlocking energy shields..." as "techno-girl thingy wardings" I know, I'm a bad boy.

New Imperial Army troopers and tanks sighted in FW Horus Heresy weekender. The rifles themselves look interesting, as do the boiler suits, if that's your thing. Bolter & Chainsword - HH solar auxilia

Did anyone else notice how FW has cut away a number of IG products?

This is nothing new. I'd be surprised to see FW Hydras and Manticores now that GW has taken them over.
It seems the focus nowadays is on the Horus Heresy releases. The infantry can be used for both systems in many cases so its win-win for FW. Now it seems they've made sooooo much power armoured stuff that they've actually nearly run out of power armoured units/ Legions/ characters to upgrade, so we're seeing a small amount of Mechanicus and Solar Auxilia as well.

can't blame them though.... power armour pays wages, the same wages that hopefully can be used hiring folk to make awesome xenos stuff in the future.
(someone teach me grammar please)

In this thread?
Although I love power armour even more than the average fanboy, I feel the Heresy was the wrong thing to focus on.
Now, the Great Crusade; that would have been a game.

Yeah, for Great Crusade we can do stuff right now, technically, since Orks are Orks, and the Craftworld Eldar seem (from the fluff) to have already adopted Aspect Warrior stuff, paths, and the Avatar that we see in 40K during the Crusade era. Possibly Dark Eldar could be used too in Crusade era games. Obviously there would be no 'nids or Tau, but I agree it would be neat to see some of the xenos races that were exterminated during the Crusade brought to resin.
