Those guys are sweet looking! I do not really know much about fantasy at all, been into the 40k fluff since I was like 12-13.

They're a squatted WHF race, pretty nasty fellows...they appeared in a few of the GW boardgames released in the 90s that I am so fond of.
They probably got removed in the first place because the old fluff says that Fimir females are rare magic users and sterile, so the fimir reproduce by kidnapping women belonging to other races, they're not exactly a kiddie friendly bunch...

They sure don't look like a kiddie friendly bunch! The picture of the Fimir chasing that guy is genius!

Speaking of new FW stuff, what do y'all think of the Scarab swarms?Personally, I don't like them at all. I think they're pretty ugly looking, and the stems that connect them to the base just scream "BREAK!!!" to me.

They look like a lot like the old metal ones.I like the scarabs that come with the plastic warriors just fine.

they look alot more bug like with the legs and stuff... i thinks its a good look, but not a look that seems to fit with the necrons overall.

I like the scarabs that come with the plastic warriors just fine. I like the plastic ones that come with the Warriors too. Although the plastic stems that connect them to the base break fairly regularly--which is why I am so skeptical about the FW ones and their really long stems, made from resin... *Sounds of stems snapping if they're looked at funny*

I like them. However, they look like a pain to remove the mould lines from and the stems look likely to break.

Yeah I think it's cool too, I think they've pulled off the eight legs rather well!

Cool? It's awesome! Would be funny (and expensive) to field all your chimeras and basilisks as the monsters.

I've really liked the last couple of things the Basalisk and the Rogue Idol. I'm tempted to splash out in the name of a painting project. Hmmm maybe as a birthday gift after the meetup.

"Too cool! Although £25 per square foot....?"
- but thats £600 for a table top, bargain!
Its interesting that FW have brought out these sections, a lot of other companies do small floor and wall sections which would allow for a lot more choice when it comes to layout design - kinda like thier trench sets. I for one am not that impressed with the example layouts given in their rulebook - what ship designer made that mess?
I am liking the rules though, might have to make some tunnel entrances into my regular 40k battlezones with some underground bunker blastorama goodness. (I've been collecting lots of GW delivery box's for this reason anyway).
