1000 worth of Legion of the Damned Shocking! Are they the metal models or are you using plastic stand-ins? That's a whole army of 3+ invulnerable saves....

2nd/3rd ed metals combined with the new metals.
I'll have to post them up later on.

Sounds like a pretty good mix of models.
What I like about the Legion of the Damned is that they deep-strike and they're impossible to kill. These guys could swing an Apoc. game either way..

Well... I have 3k of Infantry if anyones interested...
Right - sorry I didn't get the Poll up and running last night, but it's been a bit crazy with Dreadfleet being released (such an awesome game... may have to bring that along for ship filled madness!), but I'll get the poll up tonight.
Please vote for your date, but don't feel you can't then attend if your date doesn't win. It's more of a preferred choice.
EDIT: Made a slight mix up with the dates in the poll - they're clarified at the top of the initial post...

Chem, I've got enough Multimeltas and Lascannons to make sure whatever I aim them at gets turned into Super Heavy Poo. It's effective, doesn't require a lot of miniatures and an effective deterrent.

Devastators are the best. It's totally what I'd do if I played marines as much as guard. Marines in cover, with their special morale rules and high leadership + cover saves = very hard to shift. (So for my next expansion .... a MILLION techpriests to stand next to my tanks ) One thing that I noticed in the games we played in Maelstrom was with all the abundant cover everything was that infantry squads last longer. So I'm gonna buy a Leman Russ Eradicator to winkle them infantry out of cover. *Cough* Fire magnet *cough!* Edit ; the poll. I'll have to OK things at work just to be 100% first..

I've put mine in... basically needed to avoid Nottingham School holidays (definitely wouldn't get time off during holidays!).

Gabriel Lupus: I think that Trickstick wants to play Dreadfleet and it would save me carrying my copy up.

I'd love to come, but my main problem is transport, anyone willing to pick me up? I have my small Imperial Guard force, and I'm building my Imperial Fists that I could bring.

I'd say bring what you can manage/want to bring. Some people seem to be planning to bring a crazy number of models, if they can get use out of all them good for them but I have a feeling a bunch won't see a table.

I was planning on getting the train or something but it'll be ridiculously expensive!
EDIT
Wait....£22? there must be a mistake, that's......cheap!?

The more in advance you book, the cheaper. Just don't leave it last minute.
Same day Nottingham to London St Pancras is £55 one way, but you can get first class for £39 one way, in advance.
