Anyone have any easy medic conversion ideas?
I have a number of metal minis that could use medics but don't have any.

Glue a medic backpack from the plastic CCS to the metal mini and paint a red cross armband on? If you're looking for plastic conversions that match the metal minis, it would depend on what type of minis they are. Reds

I´ve used the ammo-container pack from the Grenade Launcher. I just painted it Witish with a red cross on and glued it on as a backpack. It looks ok.
Somtime I am going to invent my own "red cross" marking and paint it on the right shoulder pad too.

The big thing is I don't have that many medic bags to spare from the plastic kits.

In the real world the team medic would just have a back pack on, its only the med corps guys who have the arm bands so as long as he has a back pack it would count in my eyes but yeah I would suggest a small white square with a red cross or if your really good then the following symbol www.collinpiprell.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/medical-symbol.jpg

In real life you would never mark a medic different to another trooper as they are an important asset and white markings would make excellent targets for a sniper... for 40k though I think a backpack of somekind, even a vox caster pack without the antennas and maybe a small gs modication could be thought as a defib and as far as markings go... either a white helmet, bandanna would be fine, and for camouflaged troops a subdued black cross on a helmet or shoulder pad would look the part...

i'm sure its a war crime to target clearly signed medics... end of the day they still have the hypocratic oath and will try to save all people. Wars aren't about killing people, it's about forcing them to surrender.
Anyway off topic, still say best to use a current medic model or maybe make a green stuff small roll and paint a white and red symbol to indicate its a medic kit, i'm using my disection kit as an example guess wouldn't be that different, scalples, tweezers and forceps. would probably have some painkillers and syringes and add a secodn water bottle.

i'm sure its a war crime to target clearly signed medics... end of the day they still have the hypocratic oath and will try to save all people. Not all combat medics have taken the oath. But yes, it is a war crime to kill marked medical personel as long as they haven't taken any hostile actions. Self-defense is not a hostile action, but firing "offensivly" is. Thus endeth today's lesson.

Lets remember that the filthy heretic xeno scum out there has taken no oath and only deserve to be purged by laser and burning prometium. Therefore it is ok to snipe out their medics.......
All in the name of the holy emperor of mankind course.

yes but only the tau and imperial guard would use that type of skill. Eldar...they seem to prefer to either kill everyone OR help us... Plus was my point abotu the modern versions, 40k doesnt matter too much, we have a giant blue battle tank covering us.

I made mine of Valhallan Sergeant by cutting the sword arm of, then cutted the hand off the arm and glued the arm into downwards position. Made new hand out of greenstuff and gave him an ammo bag of something, which I painted red. Then I gave him an armband with medic symbol. Im thinking of redoing the GS hand due to my lack of skill back when I did it, but I liked the idea and the armband.

My Valhallan medic is a running trooper with his arm out to one side and his lasgun in the other hand. I simply green stuffed a spare plastic grenade launcher drum(comes on the sprue to be on a guardsman's waist) to his freehand and painted it white with a red cross!

A seller called MAXMINI. Type that into google and you will get their home website. I've found most of their products are compatible with GW parts. They sell their shotguns in packs of ten and you get to decide what style you want, pump action, spas etc in a pack of ten. I bought their minigun for my own Gunnery-not-Sergeant Harker conversion and found it wasn't too big for him. Otherwise the sniper rifles and T-gun sets were also very good fits however the heavy machine gun was much too large for a guardsman.

Also, just a word of warning Adkenpachi, the last lot of shotguns that I bought came in this week and they were lead, not plastic as previously advertised. For some people that might be a deal breaker however they DID send me a few extra parts as freebies so I won't complain
