I am not a fan of painting, however I do enjoy painting my vehicles. This is because I have a simple and easy, yet effective camouflage scheme. It is an easy three-step drybrushing process. I attempted to follow a White Dwarf painting tutorial and failed abysmally. The end result looked nothing like it was supposed to, but I love it. What you will need: - Large Drybrush - Scorched Brown, Graveyard Earth and Kommando Khaki paints - Chaos Black, Catachan Green and Rotting Flesh Paints - Some kind of vehicle Stage 1: Heavily drybrush a rough patterns with Scorched Brown. Then heavily drybrush the remaining sections with a 4:1 mix of Catachan Green and Chaos Black. It is important to try and leave a thin layer of black between the brown and the green. Stage 2: Moderately drybrush the brown with Graveyard Earth and the green with Catachan Green. Again, try to avoid the black between the green and brown sections. By varying the heaviness of this layer will greatly impact upon the end result of the scheme. Stage 3: Lightly drybrush the brown with Kommando Khaki and the Green with Rotting Flesh. It is really important that this stage is done very lightly, it must only be a dusting of colour, or else it will become too bright, which I feel unbalances the camouflage. The reason why I have made this tutorial is that I want to show people how easy it can be to create an effective camouflage scheme without any specialist tools, such as airbrushes and such.

Now you just need to pick out the details and you will pretty much be good to go. Is the streaking intentional? Even if it is not, it works well with the camouflage choice.

I may do my vehicles like this, would you mind?
If asked, you of course would get credit.

Excellent paint job. I like the scheme, but am going to go with green and grey myself, like the paint jobs on the old WW2 British Typhoon Fighters.Your technique has definitely been noted and will be tried. Thanks. Of course, I only have a few Chimeras and a Leman Russ at the moment, eventually some flyers as my army grows.
