hi there, i just wanted to share some terrain i am currently working on. cmment are always welcome i cant however, promise to do anything with it some finished barricades and random rubble some 40K stuff. dunn what its supposed to be... i liked the look of it some generic buiding. i eventually made it real quick with a gluegun and too thin cardboard.. i decided to spray it black and give it a quick paint job... here is the result. its more... as lng as i dont have a better alternative this thing will be deployed some times... this is the easiest thing i ever did... its a protective cover from the package of a black and decker orb-it vacuum cleaner... i cut out a door and put this in... added a flagpost. DONE! except painting that is and finally the church! my biggest structure untill now... with removeable roof and deck it still needs a base and a stairway to the top... so, enjoy. i see way too less sceneryprojects running on this forum.. the emperor frowns upon this!

Nice! Although I've never been a fan of cardboad buildings because they warp/tear so easily.

ghehe true for most of the cardboard. (including the quick building i made) you can bend it pretty easy. but using thicker cardboard (dual layered about 70mm) you dont have those problems really. especially when you mix it with some glue for extra sturdyness. i have some cardboarders aprox 9 years old they dont show the slightest 'wheatering' so to say

Nice work. I really like theet whatever it is in the second pic. Now drybrush it grayish and post a new pic so we can see it even better.
On the church you could add some thin card board squares to add some more surface to it. It would represent stone masonry.

Excellent work sir, although I secong MGK's suggestion about the church.
Perhaps you could also add some cut up clear plastic to the windows to give the impression of broken glass.

Gotta love cordboard packaging! I rescued some from my neighbours recycling the other day, its great for intact buildings! I also have some really old card buildings, most aren't warped, one or two have been bent because I shoved them into my cubboard while drunk. Must be said that I am tempted to get a couple fo boxes of the Shrine of the Aquilla set, and the manufactorium set (though why a church and a factory would be nearby is a bit odd). I have finally found a place where I can buy IMEX scenery.. it has taken a few years, the Warstore in the U.S. sells their stock... WOOHOOO... clip together pre painted sci fi platforms and chemical plants.. AWESOME!!!.. I want to get a whole load of these sets!!! www.thewarstore.com/IMEXPlatformerHexagon.html

I like the spikes and the crater. Although the spikes seem more a desperate/maybe a catachan defense. Still like them treadiculous, i used to build simlar stuff with CDs, pens and blue tack when i was a kid. got a 5 storey high one once

@ vegna, true, its more catachan. but it is actually fantasy scenery. most of the stuff i build will be good for both fantasy and 40K. (with some exceptions)
today i hve been painting the church and the half-round building thing. which soaks up a LOT of paint.... it has crazy spunge abilities... really crazy. i hope to complete some of it in the near future though i cant promise anything. thanks for the comments, they keep me motivated

yeah,... im sorry. it was the only thing i had laying around that was the right size that would decorate the building. My GF had gone to one of those twilight fan-things were the main characters would attend some preview or something. they got a goodiebag with that thing in it. so she wouldnt use it, and as i am the garbage filter, i took it before it went into the trash. never seen the movie though (is it out yet?)... sooooo, is it bad to have the hunger games on a building?
