Actually, Krieg, I think Vallejo gives retailers a chart that tells you what each GW color's equivalent is. If you PM me a list of what paints you're looking for, I can ask a friend to check what they are in the Vallejo line. Edit: Or you can check yourself, using this guide. Page 20 is what you want. www.acrylicosvallejo.com/pdf_web/CC073_rev03.pdfReds Man that is really helpful. Much love.

Yeah, the screw top paints were atrocious. So many of my paints from that era died a premature death due to the threads getting clogged up and the paint drying out, or the top not being able to be removed, even with the assistance of pliers. Yes: Screw tops </3

That's amazing. I'd looked through the regular VGC range and not been able to find anything that replaces the gretchin green my whole army is uniformed in. Didn't think to look at the "extra opaques" which is rather a forehead slapper! If that's a 100% match, then no more GW flippers for me!

Why so negative on this post? New paints should be great, lord knows the range could be expanded. And if they are keeping the existing range but changing a name or two to protect from... well to protect from exactly what Vallejo did with their pant names then I can't really fault them that much for it. Plus, if you're going to go through all the trouble of matching your old paints to Vallejo paints because you don't want to match your old paints to the new range, aren't you just doing the same thing anyhow? I mean, if you don't like GW, then fine but I find it really hard to hate on them for doubling their paint range.

GW is a company that makes itself easy to hate. Their PR department must be staffed by Bolivian howler monkeys or something.

GW have a you tube channel? how come I haven't found it before... What's with all the screw top hate? I have some which are pretty old, not sure how old, which are still great, and are actually better IMHO, as I don't have lids that are always closed

The thing of switching to Vallejo isn't about the new GW paints, just the GW paints in general. Vallejo are cheaper, you get more paint, the paint is better, and it's in a much better bottle! I'd already switched most of my stuff previously :-)

Yeah I tried, and just got the waiting to load circle thingy on my browser... I'll have to wait until later when the traffic has died down. Do they have a guide showing the equivalency between the old range and the new range on the site, or will we have to shell out for the WD that supposedly has the guide in it?

not sure if anyones heard I got told the reasons they are chaning the paint range is last time they made the contract with the company who makes the paints the legal servitor signed over the name rights, the company then when it came time to renew the contract again said sure but we now own the name so gives us more money for it. GWS said sod off we'll make it ourselves! not sure if its true but i doint really care any more. *paints all models white* now i has a ghost army, in fog on an ice world

So Dark Angels will be before Tau? But I remember back in the days before internet paint guides when the intro paint set cost more like £10 the little guide on the back was for Ultramarines, Blood Angels and Dark Angels.
