Hi there, As im currently in possession of some buildings which are not finished yet (needs painting) and i am still building more i would like you to contribute to the idea secion of scenery 40K stuff.
In this topic i would like to see just all pics for inspiration. This would mean, finished products to look at so other people can copy these. I know citadel puts out some bunkers and the like, we know we can buy them. This stuff is good, but there are so many great creations out there. and since 40K relies on scenery and the likes i think we should get at least 1 topic on IGMB on different pieces of scenery to look at for the time when you want to build something and need inspiration.
consider this thread open and ready for input i will supply some very soon i hope.

I posted a scenery and diorama building thread a few weeks ago with the same idea as you, and here are some of the pieces I have been working on/completed. All built from scratch except for the ruins which were purchased from Pegasus Hobbies. My thread never really took off so hopefully this one will. Winter Themed Diorama Starting out Final product About halfway finished... Trench and bunker system. For full details on how I went about building this stuff, visit my thread commissar.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Painting&action=display&thread=14953

Thank you, loempiaketzer! I am planning to make a table at some point. It is rather unfortunate that there aren't many gamers (at least that I know of) around where I live. So I don't want to build a table and have it not get used.
Im also really diggin the SM statues, where the heck did you get such large scale marines?

Yes, my SM statue is from a GW plastic kit--called Honored Imperium, and it also comes with a broken cathedral window and a large broken Aquila in a pile of rubble. It's a great kit! Cosmic's SM statue is Brother Artemis from the Inquisitor range. I got the bronze effect by applying Dwarf Bronze over a black primer coat--it took a couple of applications to get even coverage. Then I washed it twice with Thraka Green and once with Badab Black, applying fairly heavy coats each time, and waiting for the previous coat to dry before applying the next wash. Of course with the re-launch of the paint range, all of the paint and wash names have changed...

mainly techy looking stuff, computers, vox casters I just convert them into looking like a power box or fuse box or something of the sorts. just random cool stuff to give things extra detail.
If you go to youtube and search for this guy TemplarsCrusade01, his terrain and attention to detail is where I am trying to get to. His 18'x6' apocalypse board is disgustingly incredible as is the rest of his terrain pieces. I don't know where he finds the bits he uses, but they are pretty awesome and fit in with his terrain all too well.
