FKM speaks next. "We still have yet to hear about who you are. I know there are others in the room but i find it more suspicious when somebody doesn't say who they are and what they do. As for many of you i don't see you talking or you aren't talking much. Don't think by not talking you're going to remain unnoticed. I'd like to see all your lips loosened quite a bit for EVERYBODY else here."
FKM goes on. "I also haven't heard any real suggestions for getting to the bottom of this from any of you. Any suggestions for rooting out our enemies would be welcome but so far i have yet to hear much of anything."
FKM turns to soap. "No matter how smart they are there should still be actual evidence lying around. No plan is fool proof. They will slip up. I know it. That being said buck up like a real soldier. We have no need of panicking. If nothing else keeping calm will help us think more rationally and firm our resolve."
FKM turns to emptyhat. "I think you bring up a good point about how many work against us. Do not worry as evidence we find should prove the number of our enemies and their abilities. If nothing else finding out about ourselves and then measuring up what each person can do will give us hints who our enemy is."
FKM then speaks a little louder. "As i was saying though i think some action and ideas would be better than just sitting around and eyeing or comforting each other. Actually doing something and getting to the bottom of this as soon as possible will do a lot more than comforting words in rooting out the traitors and keeping the emperor's servants alive. The faster we act the more our emperor's servants can be saved."

"So piamon, you work in the admistratum huh?" blurts Rook as he backs into the corner of the room.
"Is that the PERFECT place for cultists to target first?"
Smiling "I'm not calling you a cultist just thought maybe you might have an insight into anything weird that may have happened leading up to this tragedy."
Glaring at the others in the room "maybe something about a certain ship's manifest, perhaps?"

"I... I... don't, think wild accusations are going to help Rook. We can't be certain of where the cultists have infiltrated, they could have gotten anywhere."
Soap examined his las rifle making sure the power pack had some life. "I have a plan, tell me what you think, although it isn't perfect".
"Some of us will die in the next few days. How badly do you want to live, or let the person next to you live if you can't?" pausing for a second to make sure he had the right words, soap continued. "We need to find weapons to protect ourselves, and we need to split into groups. It would be then up to each group to vet the people who they are with, and then hopefully narrow down who the enemy is. Worse case scenario is one group has the cultist and is killed by it, but one group will survive. Better than all of us being killed".
Soap grinned at FKM "I think iv clamed down now".

FKM speaks calmly.
"I have nothing to hide. However being in the administratum perhaps she has the ability to tamper with records to make it look like i did. We have no idea what side she is on. The accuracy or inaccuracy in her reports should let us know. It is very important we think of what our enemy might do because if we don't they could figure it out and do it."
FKM also states.
"I am however untrusting of what parts of our group haven't shared or have originally refused to share their info and names until prodded. They have suspiciously told nothing and instead letting themselves be unknown and allowed themselves to conveniently fit with whatever they might say later. Notice how a select few people decided to be conveniently vague. If we know about each other we can figure out when they're lying by measuring them up to it or by testing to see what they really do by obvious signs of their job. If they don't know what they're doing somewhere then they have lied and may be chaos. I know how to handle the ship i work on. I have travelled very much and i know how to fly the ship though it is hard to fly on your own as it would need a crew."

FKM talks to soap.
"I think the plan is ok but there needs to be some changes. We need to have people stay in several different groups sure but i feel we need to measure up who tells what to who. Every group will know different things so that if the traitors know something one group knows we'll be able to slowly pinpoint them. Every so often we may change groups somewhat to see which group ends up with the traitors and slowly link up which group gets somebody killed or similar. I'm not sure when you all want to start this if you do or who should be in what group. I'm figuring with 8 people we should have 3 groups but maybe 2 if there are less of us later on. I think we should call for a vote of who is in what group."

Overhearing this, Wraelis chips in; "I know my way around a weapon, so I'll go where there needs to be someone armed. Though with the situation as is, I believe it would be wise to have two armed people per group in the case that one is a heretic the others in the group stand a chance."
Wraelis looks at the others in the room. "I'll go wherever you need me, just as I've always done. I've lived out a lot of my life as a mercenary, often working for local law enforcement and even the Arbites on occasion. I choose my jobs wisely, rather than going by whomever has the deepest pockets," Wraelis tells the room.
"I kept that to myself before while considering what would be the wisest course of action as mercenaries tend to not be easily trusted. I am a hired gun, but I have served the Emperor throughout my life and will continue to do so now. That's the long version of my introduction in case you were wondering where I stood in all this"

"I think that you people are vastly overestimating my level of clearance, and responsibility. My job was only to sort forms, and take them to the person who was to fill them out. I wasn't even allowed to read most of them. A cultist might be able to do something with the records, but there were few people who could even navigate our filing system.
"I'm not a fighter, I'm no one important, all I can do is watch and try to find people who are acting suspiciously," she gases pointedly at each person in turn.
"Even if we don't have a lot to go on, we must not waste any time coming to a consensus over who is a traitor. Right or wrong, we will gain more information from people's reasoning than from anything else. We can figure out our sleeping arrangements after the day's grim task is complete, and frankly, I think splitting up is the worst thing that we can do.
"There should be seven of us tonight. If we set four hour watches with 2,3,2 then we can all get 8 hours sleep, and we should be able to narrow down who the cultists are, as I'm sure that no one will die quietly, and the watchers should see if anyone moves.
"But then, we've got to keep an eye on a threat from within, rather than a threat from without. Maybe grouping up is best. I don't know. I never imagined that something like this could happen here.
"My current list of the seven of you that I trust, from most to least is as follows:
1: Soap 2: FKM 3: Rook 4: emptyhat 5: Walrus 6: Wraelis Colonel 7: Dave
"Dave and Walrus, haven't said much yet, and so shouldn't really be as low as they are, and Wraelis is a self confessed mercenary, but everyone else has made much better contributions so far.
"Maybe if we compare lists, we can find someone that is at the bottom of everyone's lists, even if it's not their top pick for cultist?"

emptyhat watches Paimon as she speaks, his eyes somewhat narrowed but he listens until she has finished what she is saying before speaking. “Is it strange that I find you less suspicious now that you’ve told us you were Administratum? Given the amount of complications you paper pushers push onto merchants I should like you a lot less, but I don’t have the luxury of goods to sell here and the supply of reason and sense in this room is only going to go down, so I do like you.” Having said that empty turns to the rest of the room. “Like our bureaucrat I’m not much of a fighter, I’m a little worried about wondering round in a small group with one soldier or arbites who could be a traitor who’ll kill me. I would like to find some evidence though, or even something that we might be able to make use of but is it worth the risk?”
He stops to think, my list... my list...

After thinking for a minute empty says; "Yes, I think this will do."
1. Soap 2. Paimon 3. FKM 4. Rook 5. Wraelis Colonel 6. Dave 7. Walrus
"I'm not very certain though, I think we might have to bring our grim business to bear but I've no clear choice yet."

FKM thinks for a bit.
"As far who to trust i kind of had a good feeling about Wraelis actually though i could be wrong. I don't know why i have a good feeling about wraelis as i probably shouldn't. I do think it's at least a little suspicious how he survived by conveniently running an errand while his master and his buddies were killed. Last i checked the two we know least about didn't even share their names unless i missed something and i don't really trust them as they haven't said much yet. Rook seems a bit crazy but he's a good kind of crazy and when times are crazy you follow the crazy. Soap i don't fully trust and won't till we have more info. Who knows what soap saw out there and it may have turned him to dark things. I don't know what to think of empty here so i'll hold up my judgment for later. Paimon seems suspicious to me as she was another to withhold information. I'm sorry that i have trouble letting that go but i know it to be a problem."
FKM also throws out a small laugh. "Also soap and paimon seem way too naive and simple-minded to me. Their handling of this situation seems too goofy and awkward. My guesses are that it's a ruse or they'd make terrible opponents or allies. I don't fully buy that innocent garbage. I suppose i trust rook and empty the most and i'm unsure whether to trust wraelis. I think if she does have any importance for finding cultists with information we should at least keep her around for now though we should be careful of her and the accuracy of said information. It sounds like she may not even be able to find what she's looking for provided what she says is the truth."
FKM straightens up.
"This is how i see it."

Walrus straitened a bit. "Did I just hear a Dave?" half turning, he exclaimed "Hot damn, it is Dave! I haven't seen you since the city! Last time I saw you, you were doing all sorts of crazy stuff to escape those daemon loving sacks o' nuts."
Then the rest of the conversation hit him. "My, my, my. I bet the traitor is having a damn fine time listening to all your hopes and fears. Admitting you aren't q fighter means one of two things. You're a traitor, trying to make us let down our guards, or you're just stupid. If its the latter, you might as well walk around with a glowing sign saying 'Easy Target'. If its the former... Well, time will show the results of that."
Walrus looked around at the people of the room, and chuckled. "I just love how our resident crazy fellow in the form of rook is getting so much trust. Again, time will tell if that trust is well placed."

FKM thinks about this.
"You'll need to give me some time to make a list of who i trust or don't trust. I think i trust from most to least these people."
1. Rook 2. Wraelis 3. Soap 4. Emptyhat 5. Paimon 6. The unknown guy that claims to be a lawman 7. The unknown guy with the southern accent
"I trust rook the most currently as he hasn't said anything that has made me even slightly suspicious. Paimon and our two unknown friends are so low because they have said so little and refuse to share more when the rest of the group has. This only allows them to gather information rather than provide it. Paimon has alleviated this problem a bit though she was the first to share more. I would make emptyhat higher on the list but he and paimon have known names of people that never mentioned their names. If emptyhat and paimon can provide good enough reasons to know our two unknown friends's names i will gain more trust for both of them and emptyhat will be my 2nd most trusted person. I don't completely buy soap's story and i would like to prod him a bit for info. Wraelis is also a bit curious and i'd like to know more about his story and how it measures up. However despite the story itself he seems to be fairly trustworthy though i am uncertain. I hope that isn't a grave error in judgment. Other than that i feel paimon will be useful if we can prove her innocence provided she is and provided she could even help us find evidence anyway."

"Besides the fact I said Dave's name at least twice. Your "Unknown lawman" as it were" Walrus drawled. "If you must have names named, my names Walrus," he said with a sardonic bow. "Pleased to make your acquaintance. As to my origins? I came out of that clusterfrak they called a city. Bad times, bad times....."
Melancholy draped itself over Walrus' shoulders and he turned away from FKM, reaching into his jacket for a flask. "It's not very healthy, but damn does some good amasec make the pain go away..."

Paimon pokes FKM in the chest, tapping a plastic card pinned there. "We are also all wearing name tags. That helped.
"And Mr Walrus, please, we all need clear heads, and I don't think that amasec is going to help with that right now."

"Lady, I work better with a bit of string stuff floating through my veins. When you have a machine for a liver, alcohol tends to have less of an effect. And before you ask, it's a very old thing, from waaaaay back in the days when I was younger."
Walrus looked at the offered narcotic. "Thanks friend, but no thanks. Those things do not like me in the slightest. Also, I've seen too many of those things altered for... Extra effects... Than I care to remember."

It comes from one of my favorite movies; 'The issue's not whether you're paranoid, Lenny, I mean look at this sh!t, the issue is whether you're paranoid enough.' so there you have it. My level of paranoia is my strength. I'm not related to any of you, I don't love any of you, and I sure as fornicate don't trust any of you." Glances down at his well worn framing hammer. "And another thing, I'm not going anywhere alone with any of you cultists. Get that out of your mind because it just will not happen. Always remember; the coils of the constrictor always feel like love before the pressure is applied."
"Oh and yeah...I've made my list of who I trust;
1 Rook 2 Rook 3 Framing hammer 4 Rook 5 None of you."

"So... Mr... Rook was it"? Dave squared up to him. "You trust yourself, your whole self and no one but yourself"? Dave struck rook in the temple with his shotgun butt. "That is Heresy! The Emporer protects and without faith there is no hope for you" Dave aimed his Shotgun at Rook. "I have my eyes on you".... Dave turned around and faced the rest of the Gathering..... " as for an Introduction..... Enforcer Dave.... Local pacification force. I'm an Arbite.... And Him!" Dave glared at Rook "Deserves to have a run in with an Inquisitor from the Ordo Hereticus".

As for a list of who I trust...
1. Walrus 2. and everyone else but Rook up to now.
"But Soap... I think you should sit down lad.... Catch your breath and let me take a look at those wounds." Dave walked over to Soap taking out feild dressings to tend to Soap. "How I see this... We are all innocent as of now... But I promise.... I'll cleanse all of you single handedly.... Theres a chance for me to go down as the hero of this all... And I'm not passing it up. The Ordo Hereticus will snap me up as an acolyte.... And beyond that..... The imortality of standing next to the Emporer in the Warp. NONE of you will stop that".....
Dave exploded into uncontrollable laughter..... "Hahaha you idiots.... Do you really think I'd want to be a member of the Ordo Hereticus"?! Dave looked at Walrus.... "Good to see you buddy. Those bloody cultists almost got me.... But poor Barbradey"... A tear fell from the Arbite's eye and dropped on the floor....

"Well Dave, you are lucky so many people are around because I would cave your skull in for hitting me. Not because I'm a cultist but because I'm a man."
Getting in Dave's face now "How CHAOTIC a thing it is to strike out at people who voice their real opinions. You and Walrus seem a little too friendly to be just townies. He is your cultist buddy isn't he?"
Addressing the rest of the room "I say we lynch this punk right here and now, who is with me?"

Laughingly "and if you think Dave is a lawman then you must be delusional."
Calmly explaining "what would be the best role for a cultist to assume? A position of authority. That makes them more immune to the opinions of others."
"What's your vote emptyhat?"
