During cleaning up my harddrive a bit, I found my old 3000 points Night Lord list...
As I don't think that's something for the armylist section but still interesting enough, I decided to post it here.
The list was creatd after the firs FAQ was published so the army doesn't contain any Deamonprinces or Possessed as they are now forbidden for Night Lords to take...
I use the special ruls of the Night Lords to exchange 2 Heavy Support choices for 1 Fast Attack choice and I also use the fact that Night Lords don't have the 0-1 restriciton for Raptors...
Constructive critics are welcome and perhaps I'll change something on the list and please forgive me if something isn't named right, as I had to translate it from my German Codex into English, so if there are any questions left just ask and I'll try to explain what it is. And now have fun reading the list and my tactics comment at the end

Well the tactic is easy. The General and his terminator retinue are driving in the Land Raider towards the enmy and disembark. The Land Raider is also some sort of bullet-magnet to draw fire from th advancing Reptors and Chaos Space Marines.
The Obliterators will act as shock troopers in most games and take out nasty enemy armour as they can use narly any wapon and are too slow to keep up with the rest of the army.
The CSM squad with boltguns and 2 plasmas is going to give a little fire support and if they shouldn't have anything to shoot at they're still good enough to do some action in close combat, too.
The larger CSM squad is the 'immobile' Raptor squad and do nearly the sam as the rapotrs, they're just slower and don't modify the nmies Ld value, but for any other purposes tough assault units.
The Raptors are the backbone of this force and they'll go into CC as fast as possible. If the opponent is fielding many tanks they'll be armed with Meltas otherwise they have Plasmapistols as special weapons. The Chaos Lieutenant will also lead one of the squads and bring even more havoc to the enemy lines.
Most enmies will concentrate on the Land Raider and the terminators in the first place before thy realize that they just signed their fate by letting the Rapors getting into close combat...
The Raptors attack in the first round with S5, I5 and 3 attacks each, Champions 4 attacks and the Lieutenant even with I6 and 5 attacks with S5. The Champions and the Lt. also have Power Weapons so that most enemy units will take heavy losses just in the first round.
The only problem with that army is that it is rather small for 3000 points and if the opponent has some idea what will hit him it can get hard for me to get into CC...
