How did you Deffkoptas do? I quite enjoy them personally, although I know a lot of others swear by rokkitbuggies. Also, the grotzookas? I prefer rokkits on my kans, although I'm pretty interested to hear how much stuff they minced up Har har har!

Deffkoptas are golden they always take out a vehicle or two for me usually in the first turn if I go first.
Grotzookas are golden they do a whole lot of damage and i can use them against light armor vehicles too AV10 and AV11

Have you tried a Looted Wagon with a boomgun? It is some pretty nice dakka if a bit random and lightly armoured.

Na don't own any looted wagons they don't appeal as much to me either with their current rules set. I would like to get more kans or a couple battlewagons in the future tho to add to the fire power specially battlewagons so they can transport some shootas around.

Had reworked this list to include more rokkits like the 1250 version and played against 'umie and was on the verge of tabling my opponent by end of turn 5.
He had a mixed force of 'umie packing veterans chimeras, psykers, a demolisher and 2 russes with battlecannons. So a good mix of infantry and vehicles.
I have since reworked the list as follows:
1750 Pts - Codex: Orks Roster - Dakka
HQ: . . 1 Big Mek, 90 pts (Bosspole; Kustom Force Field; Choppa)
Elite: . . 10 Lootas, 150 pts . . 10 Lootas, 150 pts
Troops: . . 29 Boyz, 250 pts (Shootas; Rokkit Launcha x3) . . . . 1 Boyz Nob (Bosspole; Slugga; Power Klaw)
. . 29 Boyz, 250 pts (Shootas; Rokkit Launcha x3) . . . . 1 Boyz Nob (Bosspole; Slugga; Power Klaw)
. . 29 Boyz, 250 pts (Shootas; Rokkit Launcha x3) . . . . 1 Boyz Nob (Bosspole; Slugga; Power Klaw)
. . 9 Boyz, 100 pts (Shootas) . . . . 1 Boyz Nob (Bosspole; Slugga; Power Klaw)
Fast Attack: . . 1 Deffkoptas, 70 pts (Twin Linked Rokkit Launcha x1; Buzzsaw x1) . . 1 Deffkoptas, 70 pts (Twin Linked Rokkit Launcha x1; Buzzsaw x1) . . 1 Deffkoptas, 70 pts (Twin Linked Rokkit Launcha x1; Buzzsaw x1)
Heavy Support: . . 2 Killer Kans, 100 pts (Dreadnought CCW; Rokkit Launcha x2) . . 2 Killer Kans, 100 pts (Dreadnought CCW; Rokkit Launcha x2) . . 2 Killer Kans, 100 pts (Dreadnought CCW; Rokkit Launcha x2)
Total Roster Cost: 1750
I feel this list is stronger than both the previous incarnations and can't wait to try it out.
So far this theme has racked up 3 W 0 L 0 D

Ok currently with the new list play tested and won against 'umies. I ran 3 games yesterday (tuesday) Bringing the theme record to a total of 4 Wins, 1 Draws, 1 Losses Orks vs 'umies - Win (Seize Ground) Orks & 'umie vs CSM - Loss (Kill Points) Orks vs Blood Angels - Draw (Cpature & Control) Against the Blood Angels it was a draw due to time constraints we were just finishing up turn 4 when dice down was called during the assault phase. Which would give me a chance to kill off some Beakies if the Kans had luck on their side and be able to contest his objective otherwise I would've had a real big chance of contesting on turn 5 and pretty much guaranteed on a turn 6. So i take my draw with a grain of salt. Against CSM in the tag team it was 3,000 pts. I ran using 1,000 pts of orks only to give my partner a larger 'umie force figuring that they would put in work which they did early on but then we started getting rolled over by the CSM after we sniped out the DP and rhinos. My kans fell craptacularly and a 2 man unit of raptors wiped out a unit of 50 guardsmen in 1 round of combat. Chaos was pleased, I was not... Against 'umie we had seize ground I and dawn of war with me going first, I expanded my large mobs and took control of the table early pushing him away from the objectives on his end so that i would basically control all 4 objectives by owning the center of the map. Game played out as expected i managed to survive thanks to extending my KFF to my frontal units and getting some serious back up from my deffkoptas that NEVER fail to impress me every game. I took some early pics of the battle for those interested since i didtn have the time for a battle report. ]

I like that you opponent spread out his entire force along his deployment zone.. Any chance of seeing his list..?

No unfortunately I don't know what his list is.
However for the deployment comment how would you have done that differently? I mean really look at the field & terrain there wasn't much option considering it was dawn of war and i spread out to do as much 18" pushback as I could in the middle of the board.
There's no way his army would be able to all fit in the middle so he tried to attack me from the flanks which I believe was the smart thing to do. I took a few good shots, however he was way overly concerned with the lootas lol from watching me playing last time and dropping rhinos/chimeras left and right with them.
I'll however see if he can send me a copy of his list on gmail.

Ohh it isn't nessecary to put that much effort in it mate, it was just a question to figure out why he didn't deploy on 1 flank, he looks semi mechanized and it looks like there is plenty of room on both sides of the buildings in his deployment zone to "out deploy" you.. Ofcause he shouldn't place his army straight across from yours, that way you get to flank him.. No worries with the army list..

I would actually prefer that he would deploy his entire force to 'one side' in an attempt to out deploy me. That would just make things waaaaaay easier for me to win. In this game I had to control the center while trying to survive attacks from both sides sort of fighting a war on two fronts. Where as if he had done as you suggested considering how much stuff he has to bring onto the table he 'may' be able to squeeze them in but he'd have a bunch of stuff that would simply not attack that turn vehicles having to move full speed ahead to make room for the infantry and simultaneously this would mean that he would give up 2 of the objective markers automatically as they would be on the other side of the table and he doesnt have the mobility to go capture them or even contest them. So all i have to do is shift my army around which would effectively take out part of my force from the equation in this you are correct. But I would greatly benefit towards the actual mission objectives as I can easily contest just one of the objectives on his flank and win. I'll gladly turn towards a battle of attrition with that many orks and buildings nearby to grant me 4+ cover saves all i need is to survive long enough to be able to contest. Whlie i don't think he 'reasoned' it that far ahead I do think he had no choice but to spread out and try to attack from the flanks. If i were in his shoes though i would either placed all the tanks down the center or I would've put all the troops in center and then vehicles to flank from the side giving me a chance to capture objectives to either side. Also I went first and I choose that side that I deployed in because it was more convenient for me to hold advantage with those huge buildings blocking LOS and making his deployment harder

Played against Grey Knights 1750 and had a really fun game. Started with a lead early on as my deffkoptas harrassed the crap out of his units and then paladins came along with Coteaz and a GM and rained on my parade completely changing the tide of the game as I had no response to them and they performed their wound allocation shenanigans well. He has Coteaz, a GM, 3 psyriflemen and 6 psyrazorbacks with heavy bolters and 3 acolytes inside in each. We played all 3 missions I had an early lead i did heavily damaged most of his vehicles within turn 1 and 2 immobilizing or wrecking them right off the bat looked like an Ork victory but the mega death battle vs paladins in the middle of the board proved to be my downfall as I just couldn't kill them and they rolled over everything i sent at them till the very end of turn 5. In the end capture n control was a draw, seize ground was a last minute win for him and he had a major advantage on kill points after i epic failed at killing the paladins for 4 turns.
