I think I'll give it a miss in that case, which is a shame as I have been waiting for this book for a year or so now.

The Masterclass book is more of a, "look what we can do since we have access to as many FW figures as we need and the bits as well. Not to mention we get paid to do this. Im better than you, Na na na boo boo, stick your head in doo doo."

I have to disagree with you kreigeirk, I think if you're willing to spend the time making a good model great then it's exactly what you need. Not everyone will want to put that much into something for gaming, although some (me included) enjoy spending an obscene amount of time doing little touches that eventually add up to a lot.
Just because they're using forgeworld models it doesn't mean that you necessarily have to, it's simply a recipie book of tricks and techniques that can be used on pretty much anything. For example, you could use the chipping and transfer weathering techniques on Guardsmen if you were crazy enough!
Looking at the masterclass book does make me jealous though. Plastic crack is one thing, however forgeworld resin is the hobbyists equivalent of crystal meth. Look at Cosmic for example, he's never been the same after that titan ;D

Oh I could not agree with you more, that post was mainly my severe jealousy coming out. I've learned a lot from the first Masterclass book. Not sure if I will pick up the second one or not, but the first book was awesome. I spent nearly ten hours on my very first GG entry and was still not satisfied.

That's funny because I don't know about the UK but down here resin is what we call the black residue left over from smoking weed.

I got a copy, and although it has LOTS of pretty pictures, I can't help but feel that the first had more content.
Don't get me wrong, there's some great content, although some of it is a bit of a cop-out. The revanant titan isn't as detailed a guide as I thought it would be, there isn't many gribbly things as I hoped for (as they haven't covered ANY of the Tyranid models yet) and there were a few 'profiles' of projects that I think could have been expanded a bit more, such as the dioramas.
Saying that though, I still think it was great value for money, and I will definately get good use out of it. And some of the terrain boards featured (in a lot of detail) are amazing!
