The problem is im picky with colours and want some kind of orange/white scheme but im not sure what else would go with it and what parts to do which colour :/ any advice is apprecisted.

Try them out on one of your scrap models, or do a test strip. Putting the colours together will help you work out what to use.
I imagine white with orange trim would work, although to be honest I think a cream/beige colour would go better with orange.

Agreed, a beige instead of brilliant white would probably match the orange better, if only just because brilliant white is not likely to stay brilliant as a battle uniform uniform and makes it look more grubby.
Orange itself is a bit broad also, probably best to get set on a type of orange first of all. Almost brown and murky or carrot orange? could be pale orange also which would make for a mostly neutral scheme that could work well, I think Cosmic had some test minis for some guard I saw in a thread here using very neutral slightly earthy tones and it looked great and was supposedly quite quick to produce.

Not sure on paint names as im a newb but i was after a kind of bright orange like the fruit. Il do some tests with a white uniform and various washes when i get around to buying more, still not sure on a third submissive colour for things like buttons clips and belt buckle, maybe a dull red or royal blue hrmmm..

I would say Black I would also be very carefull with washes and apply them on the orange before you paint the beige. base color for orange probably a grey I would say especially for the Orange Orange.

I don't think there would be enough contrast to make them interesting.

May as well do them black and red to match the commisar then Yar. I did a black and red scheme. It looks good, but I do feel like it looks a little bit chaos-y. Just paint up one model for each of the schemes you're thinking of, then pick your favourite.

My idea was to have this but a deep orangeinstead of red(dont have it yet) but i still dont think that would be better. M new idea is to have a slightly more desert flavour of orange as the primary but not sure what colour would make a good border... Mordian blue?

www.color-wheel-pro.com/color-schemes.htmlUse that link, coupled with the idea that one colour should be a washed out or lighter shade while one should be a strong tone. The catch is most people will stick to a 2 colour scheme because well, that's what the Space Marines use (plus it does actually hold a decent position in miniature painting as looking bold and effective). For something different you might want to try out a tri colour scheme but that usually works best when the third colour is black, white or grey.
