Has anyone used them? If so, would you recommend them? I'm most interested in Stirland Mud, and if you could post pictures of the results that'd be greatly appreciated!

I've had them demo'd in a store. Have you used the Liquid Greenstuff? If not have you ever mixed paint with PVA glue to thicken in? The paint is of a similar sort of gloopy consistency, just has rough bits of sand in the mix also to varying degrees depending on the paint and then obviously this dries in with the paint to stay solid. So sorry if that doesn't tell you anything you don't already know but there you go. To be frank, after the demo I wasn't sold over just using PVA and sand... but I suppose that comes a lot down to the fact that I'd already started this guard army using that! Googling a good image of something similar to the demo I had produced this image. (It's a little large so I'll just post the link) 4.bp.blogspot.com/-F6kPILh14GI/T4Rqohk2n9I/AAAAAAAAAi4/UMMPC6_5dkU/s1600/P1010050.JPG(This one is Sirtland Mud, also not mine, he comments he then drybrushed it with a lighter shade and of course the static grass is after market) farm8.staticflickr.com/7126/6933759896_2a0323cf76.jpg

Have used them to base 10 Guardsmen so far, its not too bad
It seriously messes up your brushes tho!
Compared to PVA mixed with sand, its very different, the GW stuff is thinner

This is one of my first attempts at using it. Its a little strange using it at first because the texture is so different but once you figure out how to apply it it works pretty well. I would recommend them if you want a quick and simple way of basing your miniatures or you want to quickly add some mud to a soldier or a tank.

I found them terrible. was better off using a thick layer of paint, sprinkling sand over it, tap off the excess, letting it set and then painting it again.

i brought all of them and to be honest, apart from them being different colours, they seem to be really sinilar in texture... it takes alot of the paint to base just one base, so in the long run, its not cost effective to use to base many figures... i do however find it very useful to add weathering to my vehicles before they get basecoated... just paint it around the edges of the vehicles tracks and after its vbasecoated, just brush them up...
in all... i like them...
