Guardsmen on steroids

I'm working on my vet squad and I need some input on an idea for a few troopers. What would be a good way to make bigger Guardsmen? I'm basing my vets off of a real life group and a few of the people are significantly taller and bulkier than the rest, so a bigger Guardsmen is needed to represent this. I was thinking of using a sanded down Space Marine since they look pretty large in their armor. Thoughts? Opinions? Witty anecdotes?

for my harker model i wanted him to be much taller than normal guardsmen... i added 1mm of plasticard underneath his boots, between his boot top and his knee, and 1 mm at his waist... this made him 3mm taller than normal guardsmen... also i extended his neck just slightly for another 1mm... making 4mm overall... if you wanted them to also look pumped up, use catachan arms as their bulk suits the added height.
