So, with respect to fluff, diversity and modern army composition I want guardswomen serving alongside the men, but looking into it there are only a very few actualy guardswomen models (old metals, and a sweet looking games day commisar!). Has anyone mass converted girly guards?
I'm thinking it would just be as simple as making a green putty braid poking out of the helmet, and using fantasy elf heads for officers. any other advice? I'm not too concerned about boobies, since the flak jackets would pretty much squish and hide them anyway, I just want people to look at my regiments and know that it represents humanity fully.
(I also will have different skin colors, since I think the imperium still has racial diversity, especialy across a million worlds, but that doesnt need conversion)
so, yeah, girls in guard. how do you do them?

For Catachan females I sculpted boobs on with acrylic, for Cadians I filed down the bottom section of the chestplate to make it look like they were slimer

There have been a few threads and discussions about the lack of Guardswomen and how to incorporate female soldiers into an IG army. Paimon and Trooper 1974 have done rather good conversions and know where to buy female soldiers that fit the Guard look.

If you are not to woried about the torso then you can do this fairly easily by just getting female heads. There are one or two 3rd party model makers who can provide these.

Awesome tutorial!
Whenever I think about the female guard it brings to mind the scene in the first Iron Man at the beginning when he's driving with the soldiers:
Tony Stark: Good God, you're a woman! I honestly, I couldn't have called that. I mean, I would apologize, but isn't that what we're going for here? I thought of you as a soldier first. Ramirez: I'm an airman. Tony Stark: Well, you have actually excellent bone structure there. I'm kinda having a hard time not looking at you now. Is that weird?
I really hate the idea of "pin-up" guardswomen, having known a few military women in real life, they are huge and tough and badass just like the men.

I'm waiting to see how Defiance handles female UAMC marines and panzergrenadiers, since their generic male marines are about the right size for guardsmen, and as far as I can tell, the only difference between the male and female panzer grenadiers will be a head swap. If they look decent, I'm going to use those for my female soldiers.
Oh, and little known fact, but GW does produce a reasonable female plastic head for humans. The gunner on the Immolator kit has two head options, one being bare with a comm headset. I'd scour some bit sites to see if they have any, but they'll likely be expensive.

I'm flattered that I'm being used as an example here, but yeah, my thread has pretty much all of my comments regarding female guard.
