Like the Wind ~ Tallarn Desert Raiders

Hi there!

Here's a little of what I have been working, and plan on working on until its done.
Plastic Desert Raiders. Now don't get me wrong, the metal ones a pretty rad, and FW has
done a crazy good job with their version, but I want every single rank-and-file (Call me crazy, it wouldn't be the first time)
to be his own.

Anyway, here's the WIPs, just needing some washes, and flesh/equipment/pouches done.





I'm no Green Stuff God, or Painting Prodigy, and im hoping a blue wash will bring the sashes/headwraps back to a more blue colour.

Im aiming for a tabletop standard, i dont think i could handle painting a million guard to the absolute best of my ability haha

weapon casing will most likely be black
any suggestions as to what colour i paint the shoulder pads?

As for the shoulder pads... I'd say a nice Earthy Brown wouldn't be amiss

the torso/legs are empire huntsmen or archers, something along those lines, i will be using a few of the bags and pouches too.
everything else comes from the Catachan Command box, or is Green stuff. some pouches do come from various other kits, and were in my bits box

between sport, exams and general life stuff, time for the Tallarn has been slim:(

Ive finished two more dewds(just about) and i should have them mostly painted my the end of the weekend (should all things go to plan:P) - AND i decided on a loadout- powerfist, heavyflamer and a couple of regular flamers.

This will probably end up as a PCS once i get a decent number of points happening, until then its my CCS

These guys are awesome. I'm sorry but I was just really hoping the red beret'd officer would have an ornate las pistol and the other pointing guy too or perhaps a las rifle. I just think the flamer is abit large to be held so confidently one handed by such a slender framed person.

Either way the models rock, paint job is awesome and I've bookmarked this thread.
