Alternative Chimera Turrets

When I first got into IG I bought some Chimeras and didn't know about magnets. Maybe they hadn't even been invented yet (did I say I was old!). Foolishly I glued the multilaser in place on the original turret and now I want to be able to switch out weapons. GW turrets are too expense so I bought some alternative ones. I found the turret from a WW II German Tiger I tank in 1/72 scale works pretty well.

Here are some photos of what I came up with, what do you guys think? This time I magnatized all the gun options (using magnets I purchased from Miniwargaming.com) Obviously these are new unpainted turrets on my old painted Chimeras.

I bought the Tigers off ebay from myworld.ebay.com/brickandblocks/?_trksid=p4340.l2559 for about $7 each with shipping.

Suitable! I actually like just how 'WWII' it makes the Chimera look; it's interesting how just a change of turret can do that to the chassis. I say go for it.

I love the WW II look. I also purchased a 1/48 scale Tiger I for a steal of a deal on ebay and will try to convert it to a Leman Russ turret to match the Chimeras. I'll post photos when I get it presentable.

Purple Dice, go for it. I would love to see other WWII tank turrets on Chimeras and Russes. I am a big WWII tank buff, especially German. I was thinking of using Panther turrets but have not been able to find inexpensive kits to convert.
