I hope that those heavy mortars get special rules, because they look outstanding, as does the rest of the army.

probably be the same rules as the heavy mortar on the griffon as it is the same gun I believe. but yeah, those really caught my eye too - supersexy!
I really like how they're giving them a totally different feel with the line of minis they're coming out with. they are most definately NOT just another line of guardsmen (like the elysians seemed to be more akin to).

yeah i think they get the same hellfire shells that the griffon got.. they have rules up on the FW site.. just cant see them from work here..
i do like the models as well.. but it would be a bit hard not to paint them in ww2 german style complete with insignia if i were to get them.. just like i did to my warzone bauhaus models... i reprimed them all though as they were not well received in games some 10 yrs ago.. though that was before i learned what common sense was.. and the importance of world politics and their ever growing influence on the common man.. oh well they were fraking good models to do up german style.. but it hink they hit a little too close to home like these kreigs could do..
still that aside.. if i ever order anything from FW it might need to include a couple of those splendid heavy mortors.. without the vehicles though..

I like the vehicles. one of the things I like about the krieg line is it really shows the labor in warfare. carting around a big ass gun with it's own carriage, towing a heavy mortar, all that really adds a feel to the army and makes you say 'yeah no doubt!' to the squads with no heavy weapon that do all the movement and charges and stuff

i wish i still had my alst job! i was amking just about enouhg money to afford a death korps squad every two weeks. which means i could of had a decent DK army quick (ish) but i want the stormtroopers to use as like an armoured fist squad...or as STs

I think they should come out with catachan stormtroopers - that'd be cool (though I do appreciate the new death korps stormtroopers to be sure).

I personally are so in love with the Death Korps, and it hurts so bad that I don't have a big army with those models. So please!!! Don't mention them... It hurts so bad in my heart!! ;D

heh yeah it's hard to discard fully painted and perfectly great looking finished minis for a new project. I've been tempted by some new model lines a bit lately but I love my cadians - still the death korps army would just be so sweet...

yup .. looks sweet.. and cheap 45 pts to get it as well.. before upgrades.. might be worth just grabbing solo and slapping some hunter killer missles on... considering that they move fast as well so they could claim table quadrants even if needed.. something to consider with them.. if you can afford them that is

They are the same thing as the towing model except they have a second heavy stubber and can have a roof.. Here is the third type of squad for death korps....Awfully sexy!! Enjoy www.forgeworld.co.uk/dkksquadstnd.htm
