I've been a DKoK fan since i saw some Regimental rules all the way back in WD issue 264. I'm planning to save up LOADS and acctually make an army of those models, especially those Imperial Heavy Mortars....

I worked out how much it would cost me for a 1500 point Death Korps army. £500! Looks like i might be giving it a miss then.

Forge world models are awfully expensive I think. I could buy a box of two cadian squads for the cost of one DKoK squad. Hope they come down soon. Or just sell the heads.

I think it's a shame they cost so much. They really are great looking models I think they have a really gritty look to em that comes across in the uniforms. But alas I have too many bills to pay.

I guess like a lot of people I have a desire to own every new model that comes along but sooner or later you realize I should probably paint the ones I've got first. At least that's what my wife tells me.

LOL yeah FW items rock.. if they could be done cheaper I doubt they would be so cool since you would see them everywhere.. but as they cost the as much as a house in a small village to collect an armies worth.. they are rare and treated with respect ( lunancy ) for collecting them..

well..we all say that FW stuff rocks but the truth is that it's such crappy quality when it arrives - I've seen pieces with air bubbles left from when the mold was being filled so whole portions of the piece are just non-existant, massively excessive flashing (like hacksaw level flashing removal), and have you ever tried to paint that resin right outta the bag? the paint beads on the resins surface!! you literally MUST wash every part of the pieces in soap and water and scrub em down if you don't want to have to glop on paint and ruin all that beautiful detail. it's really insane the price you pay for so much extra work the only good sides of forgeworld parts is that a) the models/parts look cool and different and b ) the resin is far more heat resistant than regular gw plastic parts - I had my whole army half melt in the car on a summer day past but the forgeworld parts held rock solid and didn't warp a bit.

Bet That Would Have Been an interesting look ... kinda a 'plague zombie army' .. but yea, the resin IS alot more heat resistant .. But it IS a hassle .. I had a hell of a time cleaning all the parts to the Warhound when I 1st got it

I'm actually working on a Stormtrooper DKK army... 2000, granted 14 of them arent DKK, but those are the two Elite infiltrator choices... the other 3 are troops and mounted in Chimeras... I think it all came out to like... 300$... granted I had all my tanks already so... ha... I've loved them since I forst say them way back... years ago ha, dreamed of it... now.... w00t
