The new Hull Points are balancing the fact that glances do nothing except remove a Hull Point. Its funny, because the stat for Hull Points is HP, so vehicles have healt . I like the change, I've played 1 game. My manticore blew up turn one (there were like 8 oblits on the enemy side) and my Medusa took a glancing hit. In the old rules, my medusa, at best, was not firing next turn, and at worst was weapon destroyed or wrecked... but in the new rules it was completely fine except for maybe a little hull damage. I like what they did, though I hope in the new codexes the Hull Point amounts start varying more. Its annoying that everything in our army has 3 except sentinels. Vehicles are like every other unit now, they don't lose their damage potential until they are destroyed.

3. I believe. They need balancing, as Chimera hull-based tank should not be the same value as a Leman Russ hull-based tank.

from playing a game yesterday against a vulkan list, everyone hould know vechiles are a lot more likely to explode from melta fire now due to the +2, making a 50% chance of explosion. just wanted to let people know incase they were planning on huddling a platoon around a tank for cover.
