Sammy welcome on the Earth. SH-Tanks and Titans need their own AOC. So you can only take one in really big games. And like I said before I still think that there is a good chance that GW will take the BB away from FW and make it a plastic kit, as they would sell many more of them that way.

Well if it happens that every army starts fielding warmachines every game, I'll retire from 40K and concentrate more on Mordheim, WHFB and Necromunda... And if they make air superiority IG will become really boring, unfair and stupid. Flyers have unfair rules and if you can field them like tanks...

finally some one who understands vat im trying to say however the apocolypse rules pan out i think its wrong to concentrate on super heavies or flyers or any of that pile of dung it should be about numbers. as i've already said i dont like air manouvering any way it seems a bit wimpy your guard should be able to advance through any amount of fire and use the numbers to soak it up. how ever knight i dont think gw will do the plastic baneblade any time soon. not untill the new edition IG codex any way.

Other rumors are are around as well that a new IG 'dex will be done, too. But I don't think that they'll make a new IG 'dex that soon (even if there are some parts that would need a bit of work...)

Even if the do release a 'dex for large scale games most people will stick to the normal 40k games because they simply don't have the time, space or money to fight large scale battles.
This 'dex would be for hardcore gamers or old buggers like me who miss the good old 2nd ed days.

And then there are also some others like me, who prefer really small battles, thes commando missions and Necromunda But I think you're right Woz. Most ppl won have th tim and the space to fight these big battles.

I just loved seeing huge armies set up (10,000 - 20,000 pts a side) and the battles were a real test as you had so much to think about.
Your army may be kicking ass on one part of the battlefield and getting slaughted on another and you couldn't win a game on just one or two lucky dice rolls.

as you say woz the great potentiel of apocolypse is that it will bring large scale battles to everybody. as you've said large battles require a lot more tacticul skill and also unlike short games if somthing apperas to be going wrong you have time to adapt and respond where as with the small games once its started to collapse there is often little you can do.

I was in Philly over the weekend and they told me that they haven't been told anything about the new dexes coming out, kind of upset me too.By the way the GW store in Cherry hill right outside of Philly has some great guys working there and if you are ever in the area stop in.

Codex apocalypse sounds pretty intererting! huge battles with hundreds of men and lots of vehicles! I will be able to field everything I have (hehe, 12 sents deep striking!! cool!!) And if it is faster than the current WH40K, I like it! Epic scale battles are en route!

Yes Valkyries! I think GW will change a bit the rules and make the valkyrie be more a skimmer than a flyer, like in Epic...It will give more balanced rules: a kind of Imperial "wave serpent" in a way...
