" And IW are not the Chaos army to play, they're for losing friends and are big cheese... " Maybe i should get a jar of cheese sauce and pour it all over my brothers army next time we play against eachother.( ref : 50 ways to annoy your oponent).I agree most people think it is cheese but it is still a legal army to play. mostly what he does is all the obliterators he can have, a squad or 2 of heavy wpn teams, 1 squad of raptors( just so people worry about them and not the other things coming at him) either a basalisk or a defiler.I should show him that list you posted Z.I know he doesn't like tnaks becouse he says that they ge blown up too fast and cost too much so he goes with other things...Any yes my little brother usually wins the tourneys he plays in in our local area.

IW armies win nearly all games they play and most ppl I know don't want to play vs IW anymore, as it's always the same. The IW list is just maxed out and there is only one tactic everyone uses. All the other Legions have different tactics they can rely on and they're still successful. But IW just has 1 (perhaps 2 or 3) armylists that really work and the rest is crap. And all these armylists always contain 9 Obliterators...

Well maybe its the fact that Im not a cheap person and only use 3 obliterators that gets my IW a 1-3 record... 1 win vs SM.... 3 loses to Khorne, Ulthwe Strike Force, and Necrons. IW are not undefeatable, maybe people just need to rethink thier lists a little when playing against them. Close combat has been my bane. Oh and the only reason I beat the SM player was because he had pre-outfitted his army for that Tourny against Nids, because they're was a very popular Nid player he wanted to defeat, and on the random deployment we played on a 6ft long table.

Not using 9 Obliterators is not cheap as IW it's stupid. And I want to see you as IG player going into CC with IWs. But a shootout is the same result and overthinking my lists won't change it and many good players tried it before me...

ok...
i think 9 obliterators would be cool lol, yet it would be overdoing it, but it would be worth it to see the look on your opponents face, and a way to save money on your obliterators is to: buy normal smurf terminators, buy greenstuff, get/buy chaos mutation upgrade sprue and go wild making crazy mutated screwed up things that you can call "obliterators" lol, that way you get more and i dont really like the models so that way it can look better aswell.

Its not stupid so much as not everyone is rich to spend 22$ a model on guys like that. And anything can happen as it is a game of chance, dice rolls. Load up on Lascannons, Plasma rifles and Powerfist and I doubt there would be much of an issue, so its a tough army, but at least they stay down once you kill them.

You just have to kill them before they stay down. These things have all saves you want/need, all different kinds of weapons, they're always stationary have a high toughness, enough hit points and that for too few points

Not suck more... they are the extreme veterans that have seen every type of combat imaginable and should be very skillful at what they do.... but yes, I do think that is way past time to redo the Orks codex, they should stop with individual things, like dark angels and give all the seperate races their fair share. I knoe my Orksih friend at VCU is rather frustrated.

Cadian 117The CSM are fighting since the Great War. So most of them are still the Marines that fled into the eye of Terror. Abbadon was Horus's lieutenant and he's still fighting. They have the experience of more then 10000 years of fighting, but their bodies are still in the same shape as when they fled. No Space Marine in the Imperium will ever have such an experience. @major Gunter Necrons are hard to play as well, no questions on that one. But their armylist isn't always the same and there are other very successful variants of the Necron list. Not just one that uses 9 Obliterators

I agree with you Knight, and I do have to say I find it just really cheap for people to use 9 obliterators, it is a good way to lose your friends, thus why i dont do that, I try to think of it more in terms of fluff wise honestly. It would have been good if they just kept Oblits as 0-1, and then they wouldnt have problems.
I do have a little experience playing necrons, and it frustates me everytime... i use my Iron Warriors and my opponent just teleports his lord and 30 warriors right next to my basilisk and once thats gone, systematically takes everything else out, and then hes got a Destroyer squad coming from his deployment zone, and then theres the monolith to talk about..... i get creamed everytime. I hope to play him soon with my IG list for the first time... I'll have things split up more so he cant converge on me.

I havent been around here recently, more on fantasy forums, but that looks crazy! 2+ armour save space marines with ap3 buns YES PLEASE that daemonic weapon thing looks a bit strange, and getting rid of daemonic gifts will make it a bit better IMO.

No trooper249 Obliterators are only moneywise expensive. They cost nearly "nothing" compared to their abilities
