An expantion of my 1k list, this builds the force to 1.5k.
Again, I have most of the models already, although if there's something obvious then I can adjust it. There's a few points to play with too if you think I've missed anything.
HQ
Vulkan He’stan
Chaplain Xavier Terminator Armour with Stormbolter
Troops
Tactical Squad X10 Flamer Multi-Melta
Tactical Squad x10 Flamer Multi-Melta
Elites
Dreadnought Multi-Melta Heavy Flamer Drop Pod Terminator Assault Squad x5 Thunder Hammers/ Storm Shields Legion Of The Damned x10 Flamer Multi-Melta power weapon plasma pistol
Any feedback you can give me would be great, and much appreciated!

Hey there Effect..
Pretty good Vulkan list.. At 1500 points you don't have that many points to play around with since you have 2 semi expensive characters.. As always with Vulkan lists, you don't have any long range firepower..
As far as i know IC's count towards your minimum amount deployed*, you need 50% in 6th edition.., Maybe start the TH/SS guys on the table, but that isn't gonna go well..:/
Not sure where to trim down on stuff with this list thou..:/
pg. 124 Main rule book..
Sorry that i couldn't be more helpful here..

Thats cool, apparently it HAS to deploy, so I can still run stuff in pods and deep strike it as normal, only at the beginning. It still fits in with the 'Steel Rain' idea that I had, and most of the guys I play against don't really play gunline armies (Tyranids, Orks...) So I think the whole short-range thing should be ok. Thanks anyway mate

* - But surely if the drop pod assault happens on turn one, then 2 of the drop pods will arrive, or are you saying the IC has to be on the table before the drop pod assault? Actually there's no more room in any of the drop pods for the characters anyway....

Drop pods are not deployed in the deployment phase, they are deployed turn 1 in "Drop pod assault".. Therefore it is not a legal list as i pointed out..

Drop pods are not deployed in the deployment phase, they are deployed turn 1 in "Drop pod assault".. Therefore it is not a legal list as i pointed out.. Ah right.... So no dual pods.... I misunderstood this. I think a bit of twiddling is in order! I think the tactical squads and He'stan can go on foot untill I can get them something to cruise around in. I can trim out some of the legion, which leaves me with ~250 points. Perhaps a land raider redeemer would be in order list then? That way the CC termies can start on the table, and I have something big and fiery to paint flames and dragons all over Right, so NEW 1.5k list will look like this: HQ Vulkan He’stan Chaplain Xavier Terminator Armour with Stormbolter Troops Tactical Squad X10 Flamer Multi-Melta Drop Pod Tactical Squad x10 Flamer Multi-Melta ElitesDreadnought Multi-Melta Heavy Flamer Drop Pod Terminator Assault Squad Thunder Hammers/ Storm Shield Legion Of The Damned x5 Flamer power weapon Plasma pistol Heavy Support Land Raider Redeemer Multi-melta 1.5k on the nose
