OK, within the last few days, random words in posts have been highlighted, and if my mouse went anywhere near said words, a massive ad popped up. I can live with this, as I just have to click the 'x' at the top. Earlier today, I had finished reading a thread, and pressed the home link at the top, and I'm instead redirected to some betting site that want me to put all my card details in and they give me something for free... Just now, I was trying to post on the paint striping thread, and when I clicked on the post reply button, I am redirected to some Eastern European girls who want to marry me, but for some reason they also need my card details. Now, I go back and find that my post is lost, I typed it out shorter, and tried to post, and end up on some make money online for free but we need your card details for [insert BS reason here].
I've backed up this post so I don't go through such terrors again, and realise it's probably Proboards doing (not anything mods can change), but is there anything that I can do to stop this, as I am really infuriated by this. Thanks in advance, -Empirespy

Since no one replied yet I'll just say that I've not noticed any of this. It might be a problem on your end Empirespy, have you run a virus and spyware check recently? If not it might be a good time.

That sounds like spyware to me. I use several proboards and I haven't seen that on any of them...

My Laptop does this at the moment, It has a rather nasty trogan virus on it which I can't shift.
I managed to pick the virus up while looking for a movie (how to train your dragon I think) on a video streaming site, so they can lurk in some fairly savoury places too.
AVG has trouble against it, but is able to deal with the other virus's that are assisted by this trogan, alas no cure is available with out a new re-install for me.
I have found that I need to copy and paste the web address directly into the URL bar in order to avoid being navigated to random websites.
As for help with posting replies, I would suggest you copy and paste into a word or open office document before submitting the reply. This way if it does redirect you can try again.
Hope you manage to clean your disk!
There are several forums for virus cleaning advice out there, and most are very good. I will try to hunt donw the one I used which gave fast replies and good advice.

Thanks, I just did a quick scan and picked it up, it was called 'easy inline' and it was an attachment for google chrome, I haven't seen any links or been redirected yet, so I think it has gone.
Thanks again, -Empirespy
