Hi guys,
I am preparing a death korps of krieg army and they will be fielded in a lava planet / forgeworld / deathworld...
So basically the planet has lots of lava streams lava pools etc and destroyed ruins cities etc...
How should I paint them and there vehicles?? a grey camo look or a lava camo look?
What do you suggest and how should I paint it!
Thanks for the info!

Grey Camo with red/orange/yellow OSL lighting up from the underside..?
Camo isn't ment to show "moving scenery" so adding a "dull" grey/black would do the trick i think..

On the basis that your troops won't be sitting in the lava, I would go for a grey camouflage. A bit of OSL from below, perhaps, but take the colours from your buildings and groundwork.

So when you mean grey camo u mean urban camo or something specific?? Can you point me to a nice guide / tutorial for grey camo as I think that would be the best to paint them... And the bases and can put some lava streams or pools etc... I found this link with camos... wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Imperial_Guard_Camouflage_Schemesthe death korps plasma storm might fit but it seems kinda hard to paint.. and also on the infantry?

The plasma storm wouldn't be too hard, just stipple up from red to light orange/yellow. I think it'd look great and fit your army theme well.
The uniform could be a similar grey, only with orange jags or something.

Plasma Storm camo pattern requires an Airbrush, and some good covering ratio paint, as you need to apply bright colors over a darker one (grey).
On the other side, considering "lava planet / forgeworld / deathworld", maybe a darker "Urban rubbles", or "Fire wastes" could be a good option too.

Plasma Storm camo pattern requires an Airbrush Lies! It should cover fine, I don't use an airbrush for doing flames or similar, and they turn out nice and bright Although I can see where you're coming from Nickola, a couple of coats might be needed if the paint is a bit thin
