Ok, so I've finished my Land raider (curtsey of Adkenpachi) and I have Magnatised certain key areas so I can choose to make it a crusader (for my Black Templars). I was looking at other patterns of Land raiders when I saw the Prometheus, and thought it looked quite cool. I've found the rules for it and am confused at why it is 20pts more expensive than a crusader for two less Twin-linked Heavy Bolters, no Twin-linked Assault Cannon, Frag launchers or option for a multi-melta, and carries 4 less people. Is there some vital rule I'm missing (pertaining to it's command status perhaps?) or is the only reason it would be taken down to looks/fluff? Thanks in advance, -Empirespy

I don't think hurricane bolters are storm bolters. I think hurricane pattern is essentially three twin-linked bolters, so the two twin-linked heavy bolters are arguably better (maybe).
Also I notice it can be taken as an elite choice. Not so good for Templars because you can take Crusaders out the wazoo but maybe good for other codexes if you run out of heavy slots?

Yeah, the Crusader just has a ton of TL Bolters, while the Prometheus has TL Heavy Bolters.
The comm gear also lets you re-roll one Reserves Roll per Turn, which is pretty useful.

Oh, that's what I missed, I thought Hurrican bolters were 3 TW heavy bolters (Which, now that I think about it would be sooooo OP...). Thanks, for the clear up, I think I'll stick with the crusader and it's blessed hull...
