Hi guys this is my first attempt at anything like this and I could do with some help. I made some paper lumps for hills, which are taking AGES to dry! who know that wet paper would take so long! Anyway, I plan to add larger rocks and some of the GW plastic kit attached. I could do with some help for placement. The pictures below show what I decided upon myself (so far) that I need help with. There will be Razorwire to place also along some of the higher 'trench' surfaces and running across the tank traps. There is a large flat area in the middle so that the Valk can sit on the surface and be flat. When the sand goes on (which will cover the entire board) small creases should disappear and the difference in surface textures also, as it will become one flat surface. This is primarily just a display diorama. Nothing too complex like building as it's supposed to be barren. I included a few models to show scale. Any tips/help appreciated!

Papermache (I assume thats what you mean by paper lumps) takes a days today. Give it a coat of sand, not too much then show us the photo's of that. If you look at my thread I'm in the middle of doing a gaming table, yes I know shameless plug

Off to a good start. As BGF said, a bit of sand will go a long way. Maybe a few bits of slate too? I recommend getting some poster paint or artshop acrylic for painting it (much cheaper!) and mixing your own colours. A drybrush, and a bit of flock, and itll look great! Good on you for trying something new too! Push those hobby boundaries!

Not bad at all! As said above something to give it a bit texture will go a long way. Sand small stones maybe even some DIY wall filler.

...Sand small stones maybe even some DIY wall filler. Yeah, I forgot about filler. Slap some on, sprinkle on sand and stones and it looks awesome! It's what FW use for their display boards Well reminded Kreigeirk
