Loving the whole plot twist, and I hope you don't mind my attempt to throw the back story I created, (before my first post in the thread) into the mix.

Being considered suspicious for trying to get people to play the gorram game is highly annoying. No one listen to the person who has played Mafia for over two years, she won't know what she's talking about.

Fair point, but for me roleplay trumps simply 'playing the game,' and I lack the necessary experience to do both simultaneously.

Yeah, for me, I'm playing mafia, through the voice of my IC avatar: Non-descript Imperial Citizen #128 433 253 651 172 184.

That's the differance, for me I'm roleplaying the emotions and actions of a broken man in terrible times.

And being broken is going to kill us all. Get it together soldier!

lol
Paimon, the thing is most of us, including myself, have never played Mafia, or any other RP game for that matter. Try not to think of this too much as Mafia, but more of a 40k RP with a Mafia twist ;-)
* Soap - Loving this game since Game One. True Story!

Of course we don't, I would bet dollars to doughnuts that empty is pulling the exact same thing that purple dice tried, or was. I just don't think that we will be able to pull together and lynch anyone else.

Well emptie should have seen what happened to purple and snapped out of what ever he is playing at. I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but it's a gut feeling... Which has failed before

Emptyhat hasn't even been acting suspiciously since Purple Dice died.
And once again, I don't understand how you can play the game over the internet Paimon. I have played Mafia for years, this is just missing too many essential elements. It really all comes down to RP I feel. I wanted to get the game on the road as well, I always start a Mafia game with a random kill, always fun, no-one liked the idea this time, and I feel it's because this is RP Mafia, you can't play the game like you do in RL, you play a character, and vote depending on what the character would be feeling, as you can't tell if anything anyone is saying is a lie. I feel essentially, it really just comes down to random chance whether the Scum gets killed or not, this is also affected by the character different players decided to create as well.
I wouldn't worry about playing Mafia Paimon, just act like your character would in such a circumstance, otherwise you will get voted out, getting people together to lynch someone is viewed very negatively.
Also, don't bring up you have played the game a lot, I have seen so many veteran players get voted out of a game filled with new players, just because they had played the game, it makes all the new players wary of you, and sometimes rightly so. I don't know how much of a difference it will make in an RP though.

Definitely. All of my experience is in forum mafia. It's a completely different game, day one always sucks, and day two is rarely better. As for getting killed by newbies, I've seen that a lot too, but it's a toss up between that, and having the town not know how to play. At least this way I can arm them from beyond the grave.

Unless you turn out to be a deamonhost all along like in the last game.
Anyway I know how you lot get on occ after lynching an innocent and I'm just hear to say lets not blow this out of proportion.

You mean like you got blown out of proportion? Lol. Seriously Armstrong. You have issues! Poor emptiehat getting lynched wasn't enough... At least he can say he went out with a bang!
I think we are all learning something here though, you can't have a out going style character other wise you will get lynched, unless the GM says you have the role for a ganger, trooper, scared civilian etc..

Issues! No, 40k = grimdark You mean like you got blown out of proportion? Lol. Seriously Armstrong. You have issues! Poor emptiehat getting lynched wasn't enough... At least he can say he went out with a bang! And I seem to recall your own character going out with a bang.

Just because you've got issues doesn't mean that you've got to wear them on your sleeve. In forum mafia subtlety is everything.

Well, I tried to point out what I thought was innocence Empty, but to no avail, join the Zombie club So Paimon, how do you decide who you vote for in a forum game? Is it by trying to read between the lines of each persons character, or using your vote as a means to remain in the game, or something else?
