I'm going to be getting stuck in to a lot of terrain soon, so I thought I'd start by experimenting with different basing/flocking methods to get it right before I go for bulk. Excuse the phone cam pic: That's a painty gluey mixture underneath, with painty watery soapy mixture sprayed on top. It's rock solid, if a little damp looking, but my main concern is that the board has warped a bit with the moisture. Next time I'll try sealing it with a little glue before it's soaked in anything.

I like it, can't to see more. I wouldn't worry too much about the warping, if it was anything major you'd know about it.

to avoid warping you need to finish the under side of the board with PVA glue
Are the trees fixed ? or can you remove them for game purposes ?
I do like the look of it but one small remark would be to try to avoid the silver circle at the bottom of the trees. It looks like they are in pots :-)

Cheers guys - that explains why the other thing I'm working on didn't warp while this did. The trees are on steel washers, so can go wherever - there are about 20 of them in various sizes. Hence the silver - I'll pop some more glue around the edge and top up the gravel.
Next thing to figure is how to safely transport big fragile trees!

Yes - got the idea from a guy I play DBMM with - he bases his figures on steel plates then puts them in cardboard boxes with magnetic sheet stuck in. Everyone else puts magnets on normal bases and puts them in a metal box, but if they come loose - no more paint!

Update - fixed all the trees (massive pain in the bum). Done the silver edging on some of them (bigger pain in the bum.) And a bunker from MicroArt and some Ainsty fences.
