Right, well Paimons sisters are now pretty much finished and as such I'll be starting my other commissions. My original plan was to complete them all in the order that I got them in, however, that would take absolutely ages. And so, I'm just going to do them all, and flit between them all. To my customers: No one will be left out so please don't feel like I'm abandoning your project for someone elses, everyone will have their stuff painted, but doing it this way will prevent the tedium of painting the same things for a few weeks. I can flit between them and keep myself interested. So, lets begin......
Many of you would have seen Col Gravis' website 'Curious Constructs'. He does some fantastic stuff and his range is growing all the time. I was asked by Gravis to paint up his existing work and future products so he can have some painted examples on his website. I've made a start, and hopefully this small group will be done in a matter of days. Again, this stuff is great! I love the gatling gun and would recommend some of the heads this stuff is always handy to have in your bits boxes. Cosmic A final messageI am truly grateful to everyone who has commissioned me, I really am. As you may have noticed I have plenty to keep me busy, but juggling all of this with 2 jobs as well will be hard. I will try my best to get everything done quickly, professionally and to the standard you all expect. I truly am grateful for your custom, thank you.

Tally Ho!! Did a little bit today on the commander guy. Just waiting for the oil wash to dry. I feel the white gloves break him up a little bit, so they'll be staying for sure!

Lovely classic Praetorian guard colours.
So are you just painting the bitz or does Gravis want them as whole minis?

Just the bitz, he wants painted examples of all of his stock to put on the website, so naturally they've all got to be separate with jus what you get in the kit

I have returned with the finished Commander Thought I'd try a new photo size for these. Up next will be the gatling gun, followed by the heads. As with Mad Robot, you can use this picture or I can send him back to you and you can take the pictures yourself, Gravis?

Do you buy your corks, or do you drink a lot, Cosmic? That's a lovely red, this looks great! I'm interested in seeing how you do the Gatling gun, as there's quite a bit of metal on it. Non-metallic metals? Airbrushed zenithial highlights? A brush and a few washes? Anything could happen in the next half hour! >Captain Scarlet theme tune< ;D

Cooosmiiiiic,
I might have asked before but don't remember. Do you use run of the mill paperclips with a single miniature drill to fasten these guys to the corks? I'd really like to do the same, seeing as I no longer paint my minis attached to the base.

I think he uses brass rod as he's a fancy pants A straightened out paper clip would work though

Syphon: whilst I can be a fancy pants (3ff3ct)...I use gardening wire. You can buy bunches of it off Amazon, but a paperclip will do fine

I've got gardening/floral wire. Do you just press it into the cork?
Also, sorry for lowjacking your thread. Get back to making colonel Gravy happy...after answering me, that is.

Yup just use some pliers to push it in to the cork, but secure it the model first.

Looks fantastic Cosmic, can't wait for the next instalment and the Gatling Gun!
For now the picture is fine, though I will email you about a larger version, it'd be good to get my hands on them eventually for taking to shows, but we can sort that out later if thats alright with you.
