I am 27 and have a wife and a boy of 4.
I work in a factory as a testlead/jumper preparator. This means i preparate and finish medium and high voltage cables to be installed into switch gears, transformators and even windmills. Seeing as these tend to be cramped environments, many companies like to have 'plug and play' materials, so they don't waste much time installing the stuff in their product.
I started the hobby in '97 after 3 years of military modelling (i started that at 9 years old), and am now currently widening y horizon with 10mm blitzkrieg commander.

BKC is a great set of rules. I have a decent sized French 1940 army, mostly from Pithead. Who are you buying from?

Well i have the BKC II book and its awesome. I am buying my stuff from pendraken. Just ordered about 160 £ from them last weekend. (british and german forces to start with, focussing on the battles for Caen) Pithead is nice too, but i decided against them because shipping is costlier. For now that is, as i've seen their belgians, and am considering a 1940 belgium force after i'm done with NW europe in 44-45. And i'm always interested in pics from the little boys

30 years old, former psych major forced to drop out, now an unemployed drunkard with delusions of musicianship and too many expensive hobbies. Still planning to make it big one day with my mead brewery.

I'm the High Lord of Terra's Pants. What more is there to know?
I've consumed the liquified half of Walt Disney's brain (a feat only shared with ymmot, with whom I now have a meager empathic connection), I've been rescued from Commorragh by a Norwegian guy in sweatpants while a full-blown assault/holiday was brewing. I was once the False King of the Underhive, but I allowed myself to be deposed, giving up my paper crown, so that I could become Sovereign of all Madness everywhere. I have a lazy second-in-command who finds amusement at my expense. I've given chain guns to an endangered species. I witnessed the birth of the pillow dianoga. I've traded a jar of beard trimmings and nail clippings for a mashed potato statue (still not delivered). I am no fewer than 20 people, all cooler than myself. I have led armies to victory with nothing more than an idiot cannon, and I have fought the system. I enjoy fencing, reading, long walks on the beach, and a glass of sweet wine or port by a fire.
Edit: Oh, right. I have some of those little men things made of plastic. IG, SM, DE, 'crons... I don't really play anymore.

In the spring and summer, I work at a concert venue as a cashier. During the fall and winter, I'm a student, part time employee at wherever will take me, pet-sitter, and an odd-job handyman. I'm also a GM, writer for my own amusement, sleep enthusiast, and professional Sayer of No, although those last four are unpaid positions (which is unfortunate, since they seem to be taking up most of my time these days).

I'm 22 and i'm a Commodities Broker. You know those annoying people who call you up to try and sell investments? Yeah that's me. Pay is astronomical, so i'm happy, however it's starting to burn me out so I may go travelling soon (Time to see how much Warhammer will fit in a camper van D;) Stop worrying I don't work in a boiler room It's all legit. This sounds exciting how do I get in. The Market has always been a magical place to me and I'm highly interested. Seriously how would I get started.

I am 20, and started collecting when I was 12 (I first walked into a Games Workshop store because I thought they sold video games, and I fell in love with 40k). Have collected and painted on an off, and only ever owned a full Guard army, with bits and pieces from other armies just to paint. I am a former Marine, and I work at a military surplus store, with plans on going to the police academy. I started my hobby with fantasy and sci-fi with Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 edition when I was 10, so that's about 10 years of role playing and 8 years on and off of 40k. I wish I could still afford to play 40k I was also the first board member to reach 3000 posts on the IGMB, something I take pride in. Now tons of older members have more posts than me I am very good friends in real life with Trooper and Redsand Royals, have met Requiem in person as well. Very good guys EDIT: I am single and very very done with dating for a while. Girls have cooties anyway

^ yea I was just thinking that! haha you're right, it's not important, Reds, but it's just something of note I felt like mentioning. It was something I was very proud of when I was younger. I felt like I was really part of a community in a big way, and that's the first time i'd ever felt that. I was looking at my post count, and it's <4k. I remember logging on and seeing every one of the big posters had 3k and I had to catch up

Getting back on topic, i am a 15 year old working as a junior Taekwondo instructor (I basically instruct the 5 year olds)
I have my second rank Red Belt and hope to reach black sometime this year.
I started the hobby early last year, but i did such a horrible job on the models (+very little moneyz to get more) that i just dropped it shortly after a frenzied week of building everything in the battleforce.
I was also urineed off because there was a 12 year old with a horribly painted guard army of over 2000 points, he even had a baneblade. I think some parents are far too indulgent.

I'm 18 and am currently Unemployed. Although I was aiming to be a CMT (Combat Medical Technician aka Frontline Paramedic) in the Army. I did a bit of MMA while I was 16 but due to my knee injuries (also the reason the Army knocked me back) I stopped. Now, I'm a musician... If thats what you'd call it . I've been playing GW games since I was about 8, starting with LotR, then following through into 40k and Fantasy. I'd also like to add, even at a young age, I always baught my own stuff. I'd save Pocket Money for weeks on end to buy myself some new troops... Not much has changed really, both my parents thing 40k is a waste of money, thus refuseing to buy me things as gifts for Xmas and Birthdays. Dave
