Noice. They are some bad ass boyz. I like the dark green skin tone too, makes them less ... comic. and more bad ass.
I was tempted to play an all out Kommando Ork clan once, dunno what happened to tht plan

That is an awesome army!
Really good stuff going on there, really nice scheme.
I personally would have painted the base rims grey to match / blend into your scenery, which is also very cool.
Keep up the great work!.. such an excellent army!

for the base, i was going for the rok the orks use as their spacecraft, astroid underground tunnels.
one of my favorite orks in the army is the FW commando ork with big choppa, now thats a BIG choppa.

Beautiful models. Especially fond of the freebooter warboss. Good luck using Snikrot and the kommandos... not being able to assault after coming in from reserves makes them nigh useless. Not that I'm bitter.... *sob* Hope you have better luck with him than I did.

That's a nice army. A little clean for my tastes, lovely none the less

Updated with their gun barrels drilled and retouched. They're fairly sanitized than most orks, once I learn how to make them dirty without looking like a painting mishap I will go back and update them.

Awesome stuff! (and really crisp photo's too) Puts my orks to shame... Crisp photos due to my new none point and click camera, putting your orks to shame=nonsense, you have some great detail checker squares(or is that effect's orks?) on yours as well as aging rust effects.

Tread has the black and red orks which have a fairly simple paint scheme but one that provides a lot of impact. He also picked that colour scheme so that he could paint a bajillion orks without going warp crazy and so he can quickly paint and use new units when they come out (like dakka jets, I bought one on the first day they were available and despite starting a month later Tred had two done long before mine was ready to field).
That said, yellow orks are the best orks so you are clearly putting him to shame with some very nice yellow here. I find that yellow looks very different when you take pictures: How does it look in real life vs the photographs?
(Also, don't worry about keeping them clean. If you go with some descriptions of ork paintjobs, like Ciphas Cain's, then we'd just be flicking paint at our models like it was a piece of modern art.

The yellow is quite the same as the image, I used tau ochre, which is quite opaque, then iyanden darksun for medium highlight, which is quite opaque also, before using golden yellow or sunburst yellow for final highlight, these two are very translucent. I went with yellow and black like steeler nation dirty towels scheme. The fluff behind the freebooterz also state that they're well equipped with weapons, still, I think they need a little more aged/dirty up, at least on the vehicles, I'll test the new GW rust effect and see what happens..

The new rust effect does sound quite interesting. Mixing up a rust colour is much more of a chore since GW got rid of Calthan Brown and Malchite Red. Tell me how it goes if you try it.

Your painting style is very neat. Then again who says Orks always have to have scrappy looking paint jobs. These guys look like they would be an awesome fit for a cartoon show, and I mean that as a compliment.
(edit: Ha! I just flicked up the thread a little and saw my previous post. Macknight, you need to go and finish up some quests because my dialogue is looping XD )

splendid battlewagon sire
must say it looks rather dashing, your xenos-orkoid certainly have a crisp neatness about them!
I am most enjoying the assembly of options you have chosen - that you have gone for all of them! - its a wonderfully joyful fun kit to build.
(I recommend you aquire another with a forgeworld super cannon for a real aesthetic beauty)
[dis post waz not spoken in da wurds of no ork nob - ta make a change frum all dat wonky gitz-peak dat normally goes 'and in 'and wiv ork gubbinz]
oh, bottom.

A second battle wagon as well a third dakkajet is on my shopping list in the future. I had also thought about using a IG prisoner tied up on the tusks on the ram as a trophy but don't have all the bits for it ATM.
I magnetized the ram, the turret cannon option; tag glue the 3 doors, turrets, sponsons, hatches, scope, chukka, so they can be arranged to a variety of options.

mighty cunning use of magnets and fixy gubbins
I wish the ork jets had better use for the big bomms than just the burna bomms.. would have been nice to have a high explosive option.
very crisp once again. nice use of the transfers too.

The eyes on that squig look crazy.
The battlewagon seems to have every upgrade ever. Great colour that muted orange/ red scheme.
