Most Ork Units are Fearless, and so immune to Pinning. Hence, Snipers are kind of useless.

To clarify a little further on Westrider's point: Orks have a special rule called "Mob Rule." Basically, the more orks there are, the more confident they become. Orks can always choose to substitute the number of models in the unit for their leadership value, and if there's more than 12 models, they're fearless. That, and their squad leaders have two wounds, so snipers really aren't worth much against them.
Tread, I think I might take you up on that offer; for now, coffee must happen or I won't. Thanks!

So are Battle Cannons. And cheaper, points wise.

Thanks for expanding on that, SgtRock. I was at work, and couldn't go in to detail.
If you want S10 shots to deal with Nob Bikers, I'd go for a Medusa or Manticore over a Demolisher. The extra range makes a difference, as does the possibility of Indirect Fire with the Manticore, and the AP difference really doesn't matter.

No, it can't, Prilladog. But you didn't specify Nob *Bikers.* Two very different animals, that. Nobz on foot are pretty much easy meat for any type of ordinance (except Griffons.) Nob bikers, however, are much harder to kill, for sure. But if they're within 24" for your Demolisher, they're within charge distance of it, and they *will* tear it to pieces. As WestRider said, range matters. And even with the Demolisher (correct me if I'm wrong) they'll still get their portable cover save. At least with the Manticore or Medusa, you can deny them that cover save.

Manticore can deny many Cover Saves (Intervening Units/Terrain), Medusa can't as it's not actually Barrage. KFF or the Biker Smoke Cloud are effective against any of those.
Manticore avoids getting killed by staying entirely out of sight. A couple of regular Russes are good for this

Also, AV11 can ignore most basic infantry attacks... but nob bikers aren't most basic infantry. S5 on the charge, and that's assuming that they're not armed with power klaws and big choppas. And you show me an ork player who leaves his biker nobz unarmed. I don't think such an animal exists.

Colossus and LR Eradicator have Ignores Cover, not the Medusa. The Medusa's only special thing (at least in the basic Dex, FW may be different) is the Breacher Rounds.

Orks. Aren't. Dangerous.
Nobswarm and Nob Biker Swarm are their only really viable tactics.

Its quite simple really
DO- Kill lots of Ork
DON"T - Lose to many units
Stick to this formula and you should win a few games
