It's not the same day it was when I started this, so I leave you with these words of wisdom: Today is like a fistful of sand. You can grab more, but you can't never hold onto it. And when you're done playing, there are little annoying things left, and you need a shower... Tomorrow is a dirty, freaking carrot that some joker has put on a string on a stick and duct taped to your head. And you're on a treadmill...

The Rules are OK at best*, but the setting is awesome. I got into it because the primary location is Seattle, where I grew up, but even without that connection, it's a really cool blend of Fantasy and Cyberpunk that I've never seen done anywhere else. Tho Urban Fantasy will probably get there eventually, as our society more and more closely represents classic Cyberpunk every day. EDIT: It's not terribly late here, but I've grown used to an "early to bed, early to rise" schedule, so I'm going to crash. Y'all have a good one, and remember to pass out on your sides if you're still wasted when you hit the sack! *OK, I haven't played in a couple of Editions, they may well be better now.

It's either a good or a bad sign that Req is quoting himself. I'd say bad, maybe.
. Cyberpunk was a great game! Seen so many versions of that game. Shadowrun has elves and orcs and psionics if I recall. All cool.

Back because I'm too drunk to fall asleep but not drunk enough to pass out.
There's a trope about people feeling fine while sitting down and then being all unsteady and feeling the effects when they stand up. I've never understood that, always been the opposite. When I'm drunk and sitting or lying down, everything spins, and it only comes back into the right way when I'm standing and moving.
Also, going back to the cold/warm thing from earlier: We live in a time when significantly more people die every year from heat stroke or heat-related complications than freeze to death or die from cold-related complications, but extra heating in the winter is subsidized and seen as a necessity, while air conditioning is seen as a luxury, and has no subsidy. What's up with that?

What's up with that? Because it's more energy-efficient to heat something up rather than cool it down? Air conditioners produce a surprising amount of waste heat, too. In other news, I should sign off as well. Eight episodes of classic Sailor Moon is enough for one night, and I'm meeting with a potential client today.

Oh God Tequila why. Why even. Got so drunk last night. Made out with two of the lesbians, causing much consternation amongst them (BUT HE'S A MAN!). Egads.
Hi all. I love you all.

This is a reason to condemn poor people to death from heat stroke? It's energy-inefficient to save their lives? Drink water. Your body has an inherently efficient cooling mechanism.
