Well no photos just yet but thought I'd announce another commission. I had a visit from Prilladog last night who very kindly dropped off his Daemon army and his Russians which I shall also be painting ;D These daemons need to be done by 21st February, so I actually have a deadline for this one. The army consists of Screamers, Flamers and a Nurgle Herald. Just a small force but I'm hoping to do it justice! Prilla has requested a white and purple scheme for the lot, so for the screamers I'm thinking a purple underbelly, pinky hints around the spikes and bits on top with white fins. All will be airbrushed for a smooth, manta like finish  I have been working since half 9 this morning, and everything has been stripped, prepped, buffed and fixed, the Screamers were a nightmare! Prilla, I take it you want the chains and stuff to remain on the Screamers? I have replaced them all with some new chain since the old stuff were bunged up with glue and needed to be ripped off to clean I'm afraid. So anyway, pictures later tonight possibly! Work has finally calmed down after Christmas so there will be many more updates over the next few weeks, I'm just settling back down into the painting after many weeks off. Teku's Elysians are making headway, and I'm almost done with Curious Constructs and Mad Robot Miniatures.

I have given 3 of them the chains, one still has the skulls in the mouth too These white and pink enough for you?  They look a tad messy at the moment but thats because they're glossed, with wet oil paint over them. Need to do some tidying up and toning down, once the spikes and horns are done they'll be taking a bit more shape Will definitely need your feedback at this stage, Prilla Cosmic |

Prilladog wants them White with a Pink hue. They will actually be changed from the scheme in the photo, they're not quite what he was after so an alteration will be made |

Right this project has kicked into overdrive a little, I have less than a month to finish, so counting days that I work I have a total of about 2 weeks worth of painting time left......bring on the challenge! ;D I've been working on one of the Flamers, and I'm rather happy with how he's come out, considering this was a very quick paintjob.  He's by far not perfect, but this is the stage I'm going to get them all to, and then if I have time left I will go back over and add extra detailing. I've tried to give him that 'constantly writhing, twirling, twisting look' I hope this is what you were hoping for, Prilla? I think he matches rather nicely with the Champion |

I too would like to see these models finished, plus it'd shut him up at home Well I'm afraid the following pictures may make him squeal like a girl in happiness....or shout and rant in pure hatred....I'm hoping it's the happy one!....    The flamers are more or less done. With Prilla picking them up tomorrow evening I'm going to have to leave them as they are and work on the Screamers. I've tried to keep them fluid, with lots of movements and as much colour as possible with such a limited palette. I think they look quite ethereal and 'warp-y' and I'm happy. I could be happier with them, but it's the best I can do with a time limit and other commitments. The Screamers I'm really not happy with, I'm working on them this evening and all of tomorrow, they're more or less done, but I need to figure a way out to improve them, they're just missing something and I'm struggling to figure out how to go about it. But I hope Prilla likes the Flamers. The two with fire coming out od their mouths do have slight OSL, again though this done quickly and given more time I would do them differently. Well I'm glad you approve! ;D And now they're all done (with crappy pictures)....    Trying to find someway to finish the Screamers off, I remembered Prilla and I talked about having some Dark Eldar runes on them. Prilla also wanted lipstick to match in with the DE, Harlequin Slaanesh theme!! So, I painted on the runes as if they had been tattooed on by the Screamers handlers, since they're more 'solid' than the twisting, writhing Flamers I thought it would be more logical. That's this commission done and dusted, so leave a comment if you would like, and then let the thread disappear into the boards history Cosmic |
