I'm quitting orks or store them until the next ork codex comes out if that is true.

Interesting. One thing I did really like about that is the '6th edition is here to stay' part. I really hope that is true and all the codexes end up getting a proper update.

"It's back to back releases with a heavier focus on 40k for the next year to two years to get all the army books up to date. Then expect new units in white dwarf releases and army updates to spot fill anything that needs a boost here or there. Then it will be a primary focus on expansions and supplements as opposed to just a revolving door of codexes. 6th edition is here to stay."
That's all you need to read!!

Daemons - Tau- BT- Eldar. Last two are switchable.

Eldar should be sooner rather than later I think.

Should be. Since when did GW care about that though?

I'm quitting orks or store them until the next ork codex comes out if that is true. Won't it mostly mean that Codex Orks will be the most competitive codex for a few months? Just imagine the dodgy Ward stuff that will go into it to make Orks a strong CC army in 6th.

I like mat wards' work. It's thoughtful, balanced and I can't finish this sentence without lol-ing.
Seriously, I'd buy a codex by him without qualms. My little toy men are cool either way.

I have codex Necrons, it wasn't as bad as everyone was saying. It just killed my desire to collect Necrons.

I got fantasy daemons, no Idea how powerful stuff was as I was a total noob, then I played some games. I thought it might be beginners luck, but I've only lost a single lost a single game in about 10 games now, and from what the internet says, my list isn't even a power list...

Daemons in fantasy are awesome, unfortunately GK screwed with the balance in 40k. All those 12 year olds running around with da AWSUMZIST LIST EVA, smashing daemons from here to the ghoul stars and back. Holding out for the new dex before I get my allied daemons for my Word Bearers, still looking forward to it.

Given that one of the main guys behind 40k states that Orks are his favourite army I doubt that the codex will be that bad.
Even if it is, the current dex is still a great book that holds up well in 6th plus there's the IA8 dreadmob list which is cool too.

What about a battle sisters do over? I'm impressed that you still have hope for that happening. Reds Maybe Ward will write that one too, and there will be a story about how some Grey Knights being besieged by daemons are rescued by Battle Sisters, and the Battle Sisters decide to make their incorruptibility even more incorruptible and slaughter the surviving Grey Knights, and then wear their heads as hats as wards against Chaos? <.< >.>

Just out of curiosity as I have been away from the hobby for some time. What is wrong with that guys work on necrons and Grey Knights etc? As far as the Necrons are concerned Ward pretty much took their established fluff and defenestrated it and then proceeded to replace it with pure derp. Instead of being relentless killing machines, whose leaders only retain a bare glimmer of the personality they had as Necrontyr before the C'tan transferred their essences into the Necron bodies, we now have Necrons that politically scheme against each other and send flowery notes to Inquisitors...

As far as grey knights go, he created a slightly more powerful version of God with background fluff making them seem even more thingy headed than previously thought.
