Hell.Yes. Bring on the pastics we've been craving for years! I hope they don't change the look too much, Steel Legion are a classic look.
Saying that though, they have kind of been superceded by the DKoK as the gas-mask wearing loonies of choice, so I could see why a slight redesign could be neccessary.
And I'm not too fussed which way round those releases come, it'll be a great birthday treat for me either way!

Tbh, I would have rather Vanhallens or Mordians for that reason. But in all fairness to GW, beggars can't be choosers!

Indeed. I'm imagining that they'd work very well with the allies matrix. Maybe cheaper chimeras or something for the classic Steel Legion Chimera spam approach?

So.. This new flood of rumours sound incredible. Guard allying with different types of guard? Raven Guard power armoured troops with scouts? Tyranid hive fleet rules? Makes you wonder where the stock will go in store. Locally they already don't stock catachan command squads, due to lack of space, so where will all the new kits fit in?

So... Apparently GW is going to be doing a one-click deal for the Sphess Muhreens. It will be 10,000 Euros, and basically be an entire Chapter...

I'm so shocked I don't know what to say...
We need a time machine to go back in time and buy more plastic when it was cheaper, then come back to this time and sell it off.

There will be a SM release in the next week, it's going to be announced in Saturdays White Dwarf. Including a new catch all codex that should be huge.

HUUUUUGE!!! I'm actually quite upset that I can't get to a GW this weekend, as I would have liked to go and enjoy the hype. And GW Wakefield are having apoc intro games, which would have been a nice outing for Fidei... I for one am very excited about this marine dex, I think it will add the variety craved for by everyone who would like a 'separate' dex (Black Templars, Sallies etc) without the long wait for GW to get around to doing it. And I can't wait to see what stuff we haven't heard about in the rumour mills....

Just got my copy of WD. The rumors have been pretty good, the Centurions, and the two Rhino variants are the only new models with rules. Loads of stuff got new kits though. The tactical squads now have ~8 new heads, ~4 new shoulder pads, and ~6 new arms. The biggest thing though is the "plug and play" combi-weapons. The kit comes with a special bolter with a slot for the combi-weapon bit of your choosing (including the new grav-gun weapon). And for those who really like to go for the WOW factor; the Sternguard and Vanguard kits are now plastic, and with loads of new bits, so they can be mixed with other plastic kits easier. I'm with Effect on this, super excited now!

The new terminator esque models are pretty ugly in my opinion, but the other new stuff looks good. I have yet to read my copy properly, I was just flicking through for ideas due to the purchase of the copy being needed for entry into the new local comp.

I'm with Effect on this, super excited now! High Five! Not got my WD as my address change has cocked up my subscription. I'll go in and pick one up tomorrow I think. I've had a look on the GW site though, and I've changed my mind about those Centurion Devastators; they look badass! Not sold on the CCC ones though. The new Tacticals and Vets kits look great too, not too much change although they are subtle enough to add a bit of variety to exoisting armies. I'm also pretty impressed with the combi-weapons too; GW doing what they do best, making great kits I really like the new librarian figure too, although at 18 quid it's quite pricey for a single plastic figure I was very tempted to order the limited ed sallies codex too, and then I saw the price Lovely, yes, way out of my price range though. £35 is quite a lot for a standard codex too, although I imagine it's going to be a hefty tome with all that background and sexy new artwork too. So for me, in summary, a pretty good release! Although I don't think I'll be pre-odering much other than the codex, and possibly the Damnos apoc book that was snuggled in there too.

Yeah the Centurion Devi's do look pretty bad ass, hopefully the rules are good on them. The only thing from the new release I'm not real happy with is the new Space Marine Captain. They just re-released the AoBR captain and gave him a permanent combi-grav and a swappable head.
Side Note: Did anyone else notice the lack of Finecast in this new release? The two new individual blisters and the new chaplain are all plastic. And they converted the stern/vanguard to plastic as well. Maybe GW caught on and Finecast is on its way out?

I've got to admit that the Sternguard have me going "hmm," due to the inclusion of a heavy flamer bit... The AA Rhino actually doesn't look as horrible as I initially thought, but I still can't stand the Centurions, although I do have to admit that the shooty ones look slightly less derpy than the assaulty ones.

For me, the selling point on the SternGuard is the number of Combi-Weapons that come in the box. I can see those coming in really handy across a number of my Armies.

£30 for five Sternguard, £20.50 for Dire Avengers. I really need to buy some Nobz before Orks get their next codex.

It's all well and good bringing new sm models out. I admit I do like them, however I'm pritty miffed seen as the DA codex is still pritty new so won't be snake to enjoy these new walking tanks unless I buy another codex.
Oh wait, I forgot I'm supposed to be losing interest in GW! ;-)

Fair warning: the force requistion army builder is not yet released for the enhanced digital edition codex, for any of you willing to get it. I have been searching for ages now for how to use it or a statement or help guide and of all things I randomly came across a reply to blog post about technical difficulties with the apple store + the initial release of the tool only being a beta.
More than miffed GW can't make a statement on it on release day. They have advertised it in the book details when downloading but the content is not there! Would refund if it meant I could keep what I have. Utterly disappointed.
Trying to help those on the fence.

I remember those The design studio works a good few years behind release (or at least they used to) so this could bode well for a guard update/release scenario. And with what they're doing in plastic at the moment, they could easily pull these off.
