darogscompany.blogspot.ru/2013/02/death-from-skie-rules.htmlApparently, its just a rehash off everything as well. So GW may have angered a lot of people off for nothing. This link has some scans of the book. It seems like it just something you can get from your regular codex and the FAQs. I does not add in any new vehicles for Tau or Eldar. Nor does it add in any FW stuff. I was hoping they would add in the Vulture.

I find the bit in the article I linked to about GW saying that they are going to put it on general distribution for sale to be interesting... Perhaps the prospect of having its use banned in FLGS because they can't sell it made GW take notice? If I can go to my local FLGS and actually look through it, I might wind up buying it...

i got that email thismorning also shame i dont collect demons and dont want to start an allied force for my csm's. I think the rumours of flyers were just based on the new flyer book, i think new flyers for races will come with race updates.

Just ordered the new daemon book, though it means I shan't be processing any more models in the foreseeable future. I wish they at least allowed you to buy a paperback copy, as not only would it be cheaper, but I find them easier to flick through...

Me too, but I'm going to get new models too. Allies are awesome!

My friend is anxiously awaiting the release of a new battle sister codex. Any news on one of them?

Yeah, they're waiting for hell to freeze over, pigs to grow wings and Charles Manson to become pope before they begin work on it.

Yeah, they're waiting for hell to freeze over, pigs to grow wings and Charles Manson to become pope before they begin work on it. Before that, however, they were waiting to update the Dark Eldar codex.

The drones seem like a good idea for a model but I'm still finding the Nurgle model style to be too cartoony/camp(?). Perhaps it is just the way the studio paints them.
Of course that affable evil, silly vibe they have going works with the dancing round the plague maypoll with papa nurgle smiling down benevolently but still...

I am so not impressed with the new daemon minis. The Nurgle drones look extra stupid...

But the concept is sound. They could just do with being less bumbly.

I like them. The flying things look pretty cool. Like a big fat bumbling plague fly ridden by a decayed daemon. People just expect too much in the way of aesthetics from father Nurgle.

I like the fly cav as well.
Plus it just gave me the idea of experimental IG heavy weapon teams mounted on elephants, with the heavy weapon sticking out of the howdah. At least they wouldn't be T3 anymore..

From what I can tell IG players don't need to buy, the rules for Valks and Vens haven't changed. The only thing we would really need it for is the "Ace Pilot" rules, but those are exclusive to DftS game missions.

Since the only flyers I have are 'Cron, Guard, and Imperial Navy...

@ponen - there is the 'advanced' flyer rules, which also featured in Crusade of Fire. Essentially each pilot choose one of 3 reactions depending on whether they are the attacker or defender, then there is a chart with 9 options based on that. Fighter ace for all factions is the same points as a bare bones CCS. Can I hear count as sentinel elephants ;D I'd prefer beasts with a toughness value and wounds, rather than a sentinel. Outflanking elephants would be bizarre..

Well if Eldar are in the fall, that seems to more or less varify Tau for the spring.
