I'd suggest washing blue over your blue bits before the mud bath.

Thanks for the advice guys, so should I do a heavy wash or a light wash? I think my veteran with the cards has had both agrax earth shade and blue ink, but I did him ages ago a d I've forgotten how I did it.

Hi, lizard You've had advice about washes etc already, so I shall move on to something else! One thing that appears to be happening is that you're paint is I'm some places, too watery. And others, too thick. On the fatigues I would just another thin coat, just block the colour in a little more, at the moment they're very patchy. Once that's done and you have a stronger base colour, then you can effectively use washes Then highlight, that's something that doesn't seem to be visible on the infantry. Once you've applied a wash, go back over with the main colour, avoiding the deep recesses, and them highlight Simples

A nice wash of Earthshade over the entire piece will give you this look. Army is looking good buddy. Kinda happy I went with tan tanks instead of blue or this would have been weird hahah.

I still think they would have looked awesome as sci-fi cloud scheme warriors Teku But yeah those look aces. lizardmen98Looking at your chimera, where it has quite an uneven looking coat of paint (intentional or unintentional?) that would benefit from a heavier wash (I still think wash blue over the blue and then wash brown BTW). Your infantry have smaller details on them and more crannies so maybe a lighter wash.

I thought that was like a blue/blue camo not uneven paint :/
As for highlightingi recommend watching one or two youtube vids so you know exactly what your doing.

@teku 18. I personally think that blue vehicles suit my army. Maybe it's because my guys armour is a darker blue than yours.(?)

I'm still trying to get the blue ink. Hopefully I can pop to town tomorrow and pick some up. I have done a few of the guardsmens brown washes though. And for everyone, I am sorry for the crappy images. Also, would anyone have the answer to why the picture of the CCS dude keeps swapping with the vets picture? I have moved it back once already, but its down it again

Don't get me wrong nothing wrong with the blue tanks. I was on the fence doing my tanks blue or tan. As for the washes you could look into making your own washes with a watered down darker blue if you can't pick up an ink color from GW. Army looks good.
