Idk, I think I'd rather wait for a good game then have a crappy game now. Look what happened with Duke Nukem when they rushed that game.

but... Duke Nukem was in development for a ridiculously long time. They had forever to do it from when they announced they were. It was just done very poorly.

If it was done when they originally planned it would have been great. The biggest problem with it was that when 2K and Gearbox got the rights they wanted to release it as fast as possible so they could appease the fans.

But not rights have switched companies, the developers have. So atm they can't break the games as they are so far in to development.

Damnit... Sega buying Relic is gonna suck, they haven't released a good game for quite awhile, hate to see what they do to the 40k games. And considering Bethesda had a bid on Relic makes Sega's win so much more depressing. But Sega and Platinum made Bayonetta. So there's hope for a good Slaaneshi cultist game...

Sad. THQ was one of the best in the industry. they made products they couldnt sell...wouldn't say they were the greatest but they did have a few studios that produced great games. oh and i see 1 post, welcome to the board!

Melissia's been around for a while, she just accidentally deleted her profile and had to start anew.
Actually, I think she's been around for longer than you have.

Bethesda sell their customers down the drain. they hold back DLC, they hold back games and they will destroy independent companies for making anything slightly like their games.

For as awesome as the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games were, Bethesda always seems to have the problem of focusing more on graphics and the game world, then they do on game play and trouble shooting. Skyrim looks phenomenal, but once you hit level 30ish (which really isnt that hard), the game goes into easy mode and you can insta-kill dragons and steal anything you want. Its also unforgivably buggy. I seriously waited for the main dragon to land for 10 minutes when I tried to start a new character. And that was one of the less horrible bugs I've come across. For as much as I want a Space Marine sequel, Bethesda not doing it is not the end of the world. Yes it's sad to think of the possibilites that could have come from that (words can not describe the sheer awesomeness that would be an open world galaxy 40K game), but with Bethesda's penchant for bugs and broken game mechanics, your Space Marine would have been able to murder an entire Waaagh! with a lasgun and flak armor, and then not be able to finish the mission because the commander isn't able to remove the ork heads from your inventory.

im sure there will be a spacemarine 2 or at least something of a similar format. Would be cool to have a game like space amrine from the perspective of each race but NOT the same game played with 6 different characters. The old fire warrior game despite its flaws was good in the sense that it showed the imperium and spacemarines not to be the pillars of good many make them out to be.

Still have my copy sitting around somewhere. To beat it: Rail Rifle.

yeah i loved it too! still got my copy on the shelf next to me. It was just the FPS fan boys who didnt like it and expected it to be a linear shooter, well it was sort of but we all enjoyed it more because of the 40k theme

A friend of mine mentioned that since Sega owns the house that puts out Total War, we might expect to see a WHFB game put out by that studio. If anyone could do that justice, I imagine it'd have to be them.
